I heard the Leafs booked tee times today :)

It's getting close to that special time again hell the Habs have had theirs for weeks, but it is tough to get a tee time at the Royal Montreal CC.:)

As for the Leafs they gave the Bruins a run for their money last night. Tim Thomas just hasn't looked right for a while now. I'm sure it's not the reason, but the shaky play started around the time of the whole White House bull____. His whining about MSG after the loss to the Rangers was kind of crap too. Yes, the place is lit like cave, but get over it.

One of the ignorant elitist fans! ^^^^^ :lecture

Concerning the ******* comment, I am sure you're missing jamie's expert handjobing skills at the moment. Handjobing each other aside, it's not like you Leaf fans are ones to talk. With the high and mighty self-proclaimed "Center of the Hockey Universe" mentality. Kettle calling the pot black? Mmmmhmmm. At least the Pens fans have a right to get excited about their team. btw We're not saying we're the best or we'll win the Cup, but we definitely have a better shot at winning it than those Maple Laughs. ;)

:lol

But, we are the center of the hockey universe and so is Montreal and thats never going to change.Hell, i can go to a local rink in the off season and maybe catch Stamkos practicing or Skinner, my bro saw them and even played shinny with Theo Peckham and a slew of other AHL and OHL players and he actually got some praise on his skill from a few of them, my bro only played SHA and MTHL.

:rotfl And that's saying I'm a guru?

Poor Leafs. Toronto is hockey central and they haven't had it too good. I'm bitter towards the Leafs since Domi elbowed Niedermayer.

Have you ever been to Canada to watch a game? My cousin went to a Toronto and Montreal game (separate games) and was amazed at how different it is than going to a game in America. She said the whole town shuts down and everyone from children to Great Grandmothers go to games. Sounds like a great environment. I'd love to take a trip and see.

BTW, you're right. I should've added an LOL or smiley in an unfamiliar thread.

Havent had the pleasure to see Leafs game at the ACC, but Ive been to dozens of Habs game and it is night and day compared to the US arenas. I went to a Habs/Bruins playoff game years back and Ive never been to a sporting event this loud or electric, it was truly amazing.

During the playoffs the whole city is a buzz, (they dont shut down) but this year it will be quiet here and in TOR. Nothing new for TO, lol, man I love bashing the Leafs. :lol

I'd really love to go to a Habs game. Must be night and day compared to the Prudential Center. Everyone always joked about how empty the old arena was too, can't imagine it compared to Montreal.

I can see you love bashing the Leafs. I get as much joy at bashing the Rangers. Sadly they haven't been given me much to bash on lately.

You don't miss much. Those in attendance are rarely hockey fans, but rather socialites who just wanna do the trendy thing in town. Just watch the start of the 2nd and 3rd periods at the ACC and you'll know what I mean. :cuckoo:

There's your odd college drunk guy in the golds but that's about it. Most are wearing their pradas and sipping their wine.

I've been to a handful of Leaf games and the costs of tickets definitely doesn't justify the experience.

Screw Vancouver. St. Louis Blues baby. I hope they knock everybody out of the playoffs in the west. Especially Vancouver and Detroit.

I really hope this happens as well. :)

You couldn't be more bang on the money with these comments. The real strength of the fan base is usually displayed more in other buildings the Leafs play in on the road.

Wrong! Winnipeg is the Center of the Hockey Universe, because many NHLers come from there, and mostly because I am from there! Oh, and the Jets are currently in a playoff spot! YAY! MORE MONEY I GET TO SPEND! :yess: :slap

Double wrong, just 366 NHL'ers out of Manitoba ever vs 2000+ players from Ontario. :clap

We win the numbers game! How? NHL player graduates by population per capita, that's how!

SO YOU'RE WRONG BUDDAY! WE WIN!

Also, we're MANLY... MANitoba! You're ONTY! WTF does that even mean? ...ONTario.

Blah blah... stats?...you got stats on that Pierre?. XD

Means..Onto the canvas yo ass gunna slide to a nap.

That Lemieux statue they just unveiled in Pittsburgh looks awful. Seems strange that logos and numbers were left off. They could have done better for one of the game's greats.

The pictures on most sites you can see the detail of the bronzing. Word is it looks a lot better in person. Regardless, the pic below you can see the "C" and the outline of the pens logo. I wish they would have went with a stick in the air salute or lifting the cup. I understand why they didn't do the latter because 99 already has that done. I can't say I'm a huge fan of it either, though I'll wait to reserve judgement until I see it in person.

That picture makes it look a bit better when you can see some of the detail. Aside from hoisting the Cup, I'm not sure what iconic pose they could have gone with. Maybe this one from the '91 finals?

There's no btter place to watch a hockey game, especially during the playoffs.
