Pierre McGuire was caught humping the new Lemieux statue.

He must have got sloppy seconds after Bob Errey was done with it. I swear Errey wishes he could bear Lemieux's children.

When Mario retired (the first time) he skated around the arena raising his stick to salute the fans. That is one of the iconic moments that I thought of. For dynamics, yeah I can't believe they didn't go with him beating casey. That was a HUGE goal and incredible play, my favorite actually.

There's no btter place to watch a hockey game, especially during the playoffs.

And I also hear they are very respectful to opposing fans wearing their respected Jerseys. Unlike others **Cough Philly Cough**. I really got to get out there for a Habs Devils game.

Also loved how the Montreal fans cheered for Brodeur when he broke the win record. Really showed me something about how awesome a city it is.

Dont know where you heard that, I get into with someone every time I go in my Pens Jersey, every time.

You guys forget one thing. Most iconic thing was while Wayne Gretzky would pass up the puck to an open guy, skate around a defender, get inside the house between the two circles (ha! Watched TSN last night), Mario Lemieux would cut through defenses like butter. He would use his momentum and size to break them up. Of course he was a much bigger man in relation to the average dman back then. It would be much more difficult for him to do that today with ease, as your average blueliner is much bigger on average and much more positionally sound. The two players with him in that statue are the New York Islanders Rich Pylon, errr PILON! and Jeff Norton.

What I am trying to say is that anyone who was a die-hard Mario Lemieux fan, should know this was iconic of the man's game. He was known as a big-bodied superstar who could break through defenses all the time. With the detail and execution of the piece, I can't see why anyone would have complaints to make about it. Except for the fact making statues of living athletes is a bit much and redundant. Sculpt and pose aside.

In Winnipeg, they threaten you if you wear anything that isn't the Jets. Rather funny, since we only had the team for less than a year, and most of these booze hounds (cause those are the lunatics who threaten) are the ones who were too good to make it out to the AHL Moose games, and only go for the NHL Jets because it's the flavor of the month. It's all about status quo.

Nice turn around game for the Canucks.

Is it me or does Kes. look a little shop-worn? He gets pushed off the puck alot these days.

The Red Menace looked pretty decent in goal tonight.

Schnieds FTW!

Absolutely a lie.:lol

Wearing Bruins gear to a Habs game invites tough guys to want to fight and as a friend of mine learned a Molson bath after the Habs lost.

Ahhh...fan rivalry.
Ya gotta ask yourself this though. Would we really want it any other way?

I remember this particular incident (at least I think I do, as it made the news). That one Bruins fan was such a rude loudmouth. He was heckling non-stop. It became quite disruptive. He was kindly asked to calm down as he was swearing left and right in front of kids. He had the entire section in an uproar. He was telling parents to _____ off too. This one larger guy had enough and told him if he didn't stop swearing, he'd get it. He didn't stop swearing. He got it.

I"m fine with rooting for your team, and it doesn't matter the building. However, some fans are flat out retarded. When ANYONE ANYWHERE uses that much profanity, in front of kids no less, and continuously disrupt others' enjoyment of an event, they're going to get hit, regardless where they are.

You make the guy out to be a hero. Punching a guy is worse.... and is not allowed in arenas. Punishment is removal from the arena. It could have easily get out of control, and others could have gotten hurt. I think they were both idiots. I personally would have just had security come over and get rid of the guy throwing the profanities around. What they do here at the MTS Centre. Threatening and punching someone out at a game is equally immature and foolish.

And yes I would have it any other way. Nobody deserves to ____ on someone wearing another team's jersey. It's just a game. People need to grow up and prioritize what is important. If it's the odd boos and jeers, fine... but threats and throwing alcohol and food on someone... totally unacceptable. To think otherwise is pretty narrow-minded thinking.

All I'm saying is if you are going to act like a jerk, don't be so surprised if someone eventually forces the matter. And, it doesn't matter where you are. I've seen fights break out over far less. It's real simple math. You act civil -- you likely get civil in return. You act like a neandrathal -- you likely get neandrathal in return.

Only if you have two competing idiots. Remember, it takes two idiots to tango. Now if someone hit my mom, or attacked her, all gloves are off... but that ____... hell no!

I've always heard that about the Canadians. I guess every arena has their fair share of A Holes, but nothing like Philly. A Molsen bath is better than vomit I guess, right?
Maybe the Devils jerseys are different because of Brodeur?

Yeesh... Anyone think Luongo has it in him for the playoffs?
The 'nucks will need to score at least 4 to 5 goals a game to cushion his 2 lousy goals a game average.
