This can go either way. Although of course I favor Philly. The problem is I honestly believe no matter who wins they will not make it. This is going to be a fierce battle. People will get hurt. So much energy is going to be spent in this one. IMO this series will be better than the cup.

Unless one of the teams lose in 5, you may be right. The Flyers are going to make things miserable for Crosby. I hope he survives it. If the Pens get by the Flyers, I think they go all the way. As much as I love the Blues, there's just not enough experience on that team, save for perhaps Halak, who in my mind is a wild card in the Blues' favor. Too bad the Hawks don't have better goaltending as I always like that team, however, they've never been the same since they go some key players after winning the cup. While the Preds appear as the underdog, I'm hoping they surprise a few people. No cup for Vancouver. They play too entitled.

Anyone notice how no one seems to be talking about the Rangers, presently tied for first overall with one game left?

Oh I know eh? HBO 24/7 is a nice snippet of what goes on but I'd to see in there every game during intermissions

Yeah, one thing I liked about 24/7 is the they showed the referees, who are just as potty-mouthed as the players and coaches.

As a Devil fan, it's part of my DNA to hate the Rangers, but Tororella has to be the most entertaining coach in hockey.

I'm actually really surprised the Devils made it in this year... Do you think this is Brodeur's last season though?

Devils have been playing way better hockey than last year, thankfully. Elias needs four more goals and we'd have four 30 goal scorers this year. (Clarkson, Kovalchuk, and Parise all have over 30). Kovy is playing great. I don't expect them to get past the second round, (if they make it that far). We're either playing Florida or Washington in the first.

I'm not sure. He sounds like he wants to play and I think he will. If anything it'll only be another year I'd imagine. He is playing well, but he isn't the same as he was when he was younger.
Who I'm really really worried about coming back next year is Parise. Lou Lamorello need to do everything in his bald power to sign him.

Yea I was just looking at the stats, I was shocked that Kovy was having such a great season. Good for him! But yea, I can see Brodeur throwing in the towel very soon, same with guys like Nik Lidstrom and maybe even Jarome Iginla.

How do you think Parise would feel being offered a contract worth half that of Kovy when they arguably get comparable numbers. In fact, a couple of seasons ago, Parise was getting better numbers than Kovy. As much as I might like Kovy, he received an insane contract.

Yeah, this is called sour grapes. I find it funny when Rupp knocked Staal out for WEEKS from a knee on knee that even looked far worse, you did not hear a peep out of the pens org. So, tell me which organization is lacking class?? I don't mind Torts overall, but he is way off base here.
