Yeah kit, I'd say it looks like Philly is taking this series, but even if not, neither one of these clubs looks very promising in the next round. Terrible, terrible, terrible D between these 2.

Not now. There would be some backlash. Always is. Whether you see it or not. But I agree, life and the NHL within it, would go on. It didn't stop when Lemieux or Bossy retired when they were still at the top of their games. I just know Crosby has too much to give to the NHL, that losing him right now, would be a huge blow to the league and hockey in general. To say otherwise, is to be ignorant.

I dunno, this series is different than most. I think they play each other different than they will another team in the next round. Either team could turn it around defensively in the next round. The issue would be will the goalies get this series out of their heads quickly.

I never said it wouldn't be a blow, but I do not think it would be crippling and you were coming across like the NHL would just have to pack up tents if he were lost and that just isn't the case. Calgary Flames fans aren't gonna cancel season tickets because Crosby retires.

Kinda agree with smooth a bit, here. This is the play offs. Yes, this is 2 of the top scoring teams, but you can't expect big things with no D.

I swear I thought we'd see Johnson after the 1st in this game. Leaving him in there is just crazy. Not every goal has been his fault, but he's obviously got NO confidence right now and he's not gonna play his way into it in this game.
