I don't think that person is a bandwagonner. I truly believe that they just found this hockey thread. Seem fairly new to this place. At the end of the day, I could careless even if he is. And yeah, I have a ton of friends who are bandwagonners. I can't get behind teams that aren't my Jets and Pens. Loved the Vancouver Canucks, but once our city's team affiliation ended with them, so did my interest in that franchise.

I would like to see Phoenix or Los Angeles win, and if they do, great. Not going to have a love-in with the team or support them. Just nice to see a team that hasn't won a Cup in its franchise's history, win one. Great for those markets, and the NHL to have a diverse array of Stanley Cup winning teams over these next few years. What is bad for a sport, is when you have those annoying, long, and drowned out dynasty moments. I am glad there hasn't been a true dynasty since the Edmonton Oilers days of the 80's, or a Wings team winning it every other year. Nice to see a new city be crowned champions for consecutive years. Pittsburgh, Chicago, Boston, and now we'll have a new winner. Before the Wings win in '08, you had your then aptly named Mighty Ducks, and Hurricanes before them winning the Cup. Tampa Bay won it in '04, which should have been a Flames Cup victory. Got to love controversial officiating.

C'mon, don't blame officiating for a teams loss. There have been horribly officiated games, but when it comes down to it the teams that lost didn't make the necessary plays to win the games.

Trust me, I've been hearing it about officials helping a team since February '06, when the Steelers beat the Seahawks in Super Bowl XL.

I will. The Flames scored a goal that would have had them as winners. It was clearly legal and in, but was not considered a goal, why? Everyone else knew it was...either way, that TB win was tainted.

Yup. Gotta love my boy Teemu Selanne winnng a cup. He had tears in his eyes. Was a great moment. I'm rooting for LA overall. Don't like the Rangers, and i'm sick of the Devils.

I missed today's game but just saw the score when I got home, to be honest I didn't see that coming at all, but I don't mind, the longer in the west the better.

Game 4 is typically the toughest game to win anyway.
It was about time the Yotes showed up. However, I think LA will wrap things up in Game 5

Oh, yes, sick of them. The Devils are probably the 4th most covered team in their division.

Also, I enjoy the fact that people say the Devils employed the trap to win their cups, but now that the Rags are doing the same thing it's called "defensive savviness.":pfft:

I actually enjoy the Devils. Minus-Kovalchuk, I like Parise, Elias, Henrique, Zajac (buddy of mine went to school with him!), Clarkson, Salvadore (another fellow local), and of course Brodeur.

I think the Devils are generally disliked because there's so well coached and text book consistent. What's interesting is that even though teams know exactly what they're facing, they're still tough to play against. If they Brodeur at his prime, I might have picked them to take the cup.

I think part of the problem is that there is still a perception that they're a boring team to watch. While I think that could be true of the '95 and '00 Cup winning teams, the 2012 Devils aren't that bad to watch. They're more exciting than the Rags to me.

I posted those thoughts a month ago, both on here and on Facebook. Oh, and you missed the '03 Cup year.

This is a team with a lot of scorers and offensive talent on it. Not to say the Devils of yesteryear didn't have the offence. Clearly they had a better offensive blueline led by Scott Niedermayer and Brian Rafalski, but the offensive studs the Devils now possess up front are comparable to the top team's best offenses of today. This is not the Jacques Lemaire, Larry Robinson, and Pat Burns teams. And y'know what, I rather enjoyed the Devil teams of old.

All Kidding aside, didn't like that Mike Rupp punch Martin Brodeur at his face. Very classless. Looks like the series is now tied at 2 apiece! :yess:
