Great news to wake up to since I couldn't stay up for OT.

See, I believe JonEl is a legit enough fan. He's still posting in here despite the fact his team is out. :clap

Either way, doesn't matter. This is not a Final I am really into. I caught bits and parts of Game 1. Looks pretty rough. They sure targeted David Clarkson a lot earlier into the game. Makes sense, since he's one of their tough guys who can chip in offensively. It's the whole "We're not showing we're intimidated" factor.

Appreciated.

I actually just caught the replay of most of the third and OT on the NHLnetwork and I noticed something on the game winner, when Marty dives forward he lifts up his feet, remember his 'scorpion save' it seems he's doing this more since it makes sense for the shooter to see the wide open net and try to elevate the puck, but anze kept the puck on the ice...it seems going for the less obvious in that situation is the way to beat Marty.

Eh, he got called out on being a bandwagon jumper recently, so if he stops posting now it'd make that accusation seem true. We'll see next year after the Raggers get knocked off if he's still all in it then.

But since the rangers will make it further next year would you really be sure?

Optimism is good now since they were on the doorstep, but next season is a whole new ballgame. The NHL is the most wide-open of all pro sports in the states it's ridiculous. NFL, MLB, NBA all have those handful of teams that can win it every year, but the NHL is anyone's for the taking. I think all the "experts" picks to be playing right now didn't even make it out of the 1st round of the play offs.

Agreed, that is both the best and worst thing about the league, any team can make a run for it......ANY Team lol.

How is that bad? NBA has around the same amount of teams as the NHL. Yet all we hear it's a Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, or Los Angeles Lakers dominate playoff year. I would hate the NHL of old. Habs winning 6 Cups in a row, followed by 4 straight Cups by the Isles, and 5 by the Oilers in a seven year span. I like that's next to impossible to predict the Stanley Cup winner. It makes things interesting. If it was as easy as saying it was the Pens Cup to win every year, and they made that thought accurate by winning the Cup year-in and year-out, it would make for a pretty dull situation for hockey fans in general. It's nice that since Tampa Bay has won it in 2004, we have had a different Cup winner every year.

It's bad because a team can build up and have a great year and still have pretty much a 1/30 chance of winning it all...as a fan when your team is finally playing good you want to see it last, but it doesn't.....on the other hand your team can struggle for a while and then out of nowhere make a deep run.

I like that unpredictability. I like when the unexpected happens. Yes, it can be frustrating at times, but at least it makes things interesting.

So there was the report earlier today that Tim Thomas moved his family to Colorado mid-season and now he's thinking about taking next year off.

Seriously, I hope this _______ is gone July 1 or very soon afterward.

Guy seems a little odd from what I've seen and read.

Good to see you in here Josh! Finally you're in a real sports thread concerning a real sport. How does it feel?

And actually I keeid about the Fox puck. They should really make it much bigger, because I believe some of the pro goalies in the game, like your Bryzgalovs need it to save their careers. I don't know, perhaps in the shape and size of a beach ball, perhaps?

Its good to be here Eli. :lol I watch Hockey I just don't have a lot to say to be honest. Well, not enough to participate in here. :lol
