Eli,

No, I won't read your long winded post. All it does is attempt to make me believe that your opinion is fact. You have yours and I have mine and I am ok leaving it like that. I know everyone HAS to agree with you or you'll write an essay trying to "prove" them wrong, but I honestly don't care.

Not prove them wrong, but give reasons to perhaps look at it from that perspective. I don't care who you think is better at the end of the day, as this is a subjective argument. You voiced yours, I voiced mine. When you make a point why he's better, I counter it. Sheesh.

This is the most infantile thread on this board. And that's saying alot considering Marvel and Star Wars. Either way, despite stats, all of these opinions are just that, opinions.

It's a thread discussing a pro sport, you want there to be peace and harmony? The point of being a sports fan is to stick up for your team and get into arguments with other fans in the process. Without these "infantile" fans, there's no passion and the sport dies. The ones getting into arguments over fictitious characters in the fiction section are the ones you should be _____ing to. State your opinion or GTFO.

You have no idea what sports is about. WOW...

Passionate fans have passionate feelings. Loving one's sports team is important to that individual. It's like family. They stick up for it, because they feel the need to. It's an extension of who they are. By that I mean, everything you live and view important to you, makes you, you. Unique. If we all liked the same thing and felt the same way about stuff, as Sprig said, it would make for a pretty bland and boring place.

Seriously, all you do is _____ in here. At least this is not fiction. So yeah, please don't compare the real world to fictional ones.

Politics and religion also get people heated and passionate, but we're not allowed to discuss those topics on the forum for good reason. Sports is a close second to politics and religion, which is 1a and 1b.

_____ing and moaning about it multiple times (while in the process of putting us down) makes you a hypocrite, and a small person. If you don't like it. Get out. This isn't the first time you made this argument. Hopefully it will be the last, because frankly nobody wants to hear it. :wave

However, if you want to discuss all things hockey, you can. Just leave the name calling and badgering with your childhood, which is in the past. Here's hoping.

Funny, you post here too. :lol

*now off to the walking dead thread you go*

Now on to more important issues.... :monkey1

What's the current state of the SSF board hockey pool after the Western and Eastern finals?

I gave up... these playoffs have been so bizarre. Friggin Bryce Salvadore leads all NHL defensemen in points and Martin Brodeur has more points than Pavel Datsyuk. lol

I actually meant the pool between the Sideshow Freak board members, not actually releavent stats:rotfl

You mean irrelevant stats.. And you butchered the word relevant. What did it ever do to you?! :angrycanu

hehe

I know what you meant btw. I just was pointing out how unpredictable the playoffs can be. That was the relevance of bringing up said players. btw I didn't even go into stats. So what the heck are you going on about? :nana:

I am a hypocrite and a small person. I know nothing about sports. I like to _____ and moan and put people down. Off to the walking dead thread I go. (At least there are more than four people posting there).

All I have to say is I really hope Marty retires this year. I don't want him around another year. Regardless of how old he is, he is still effective- and for that I despise him.

Actually we have more than four people who post in here. But as the season gets closer to the Final, the less people post. Fans support their teams up until they are no longer in it. But anyway, toodles. :wave

If you want to talk hockey and play nice with the other kids, we'll always welcome you back.

Just like I can't stand Ovechkin, Downie, Avery, and your head coach. hehe But all four are effective, when they want to be.

Was there an actual SSF pool, or is this related to the NHL Playoff Challenge? I was doing the NHL one for the hell of it, since I'm usually awful with predictions. I did pretty well in round one, atrocious in two (1/4), and very well in 3 (called both, and was only off by 1 game).

I want SideShow to get the NHL license to produce NHL players and Hot Toys to produce 12" figures of Lemieux, Crosby, Francis, Brodeur, etc. hehe
