Well from the celebs I saw they aren't going to do much. You need stupid people like the jersey shore idiots, the kardashians ect... for the masses to notice, not Milano and Will Ferrell.

The scourge of society.

Who? The Kings? Yeah, that won't happen. They have done alright for 45 years, but you predict they'll be gone in 10-15? Suuure.

:slap

He's talking about the NFL.

What's an NFL? Also, I want to know, what foot does a left shoe go on?

Also, does the tagged side of my shirt supposed to be worn on the front or back?

And when eating food, which crack do I use to put food in? Uh duh...

*puts food into this crack (_l_)

Please put me on ignore again.

Please put me on ignore again.

lol But then you'll cry again.

And I think you'll find the ignore feature is more effective if you put me on ignore. :pfft:

That way you can't see what I type. Crazy, I know! ;) ha!

Anyone know anything about Jonathon Merrill? And yes, that is how he spells his first name. Just traded for him in a keeper league for Luke Schenn. Just want your guys' thoughts.

Nah, putting someone on ignore is the cowards way out. That's where you fit the bill.

Besides, ask xjamiex how that worked out for him. :lol

I guess we're worlds apart on the definition of what a coward is. Yes, because ignoring trolling is a coward's way out... no, it's called, don't want to read one's BS. :)

Don't know anything about xjamiex and you, and what's going on there.

Anyway, I wasn't trolling you... so lets get back on topic... you know anything about Merrill?

Will add my response to jokingly not knowing what the NFL is, was to the Ringer's post. Not yours'... and while Mfoga may have meant the NFL, this is an NHL thread, so one could see how I would misinterpret it.

My point from the start concerning bandwagoning is it's not just an LA celebrity thing. It's a sports fan thing that is felt world over.

Checkout post #4008.

More importantly, where is Ryan Suter and Zach Parise going to sign on July 1?

NJ would be foolish to let Parise go. He's still young (late 20's)... lots of teams could use him. I could see Nashville going after him. They need a prominent first line forward, and they are losing Radulov either way. They have a log jam of quality defenseman in their pipeline, both active NHLers and prospects. New Jersey may have Merrill and Larsson, but they could use another defenseman.

If I was NJ I would be adamate about getting Ellis. Having said that, he's a UFA, so the return is not going to be big. And Ellis is a HUGE return. Maybe Ekholm? wonk wonk

Now that NJD lost, both end up in Detroit

The Detroit Red Wings was the other team I thought Zach Parise and Ryan Suter could go. I just didn't go there, because it seemed so obvious to pick that team as the destination. Why? Very attractive for big league studs who want to go to a team with a great history of winning and treating their star players right, and the fact the Wings need to replace both Nicklas Lidstrom and Tomas Holmstrom. I thought Nashville would be a gutsier pick.

Granted, Holmstrom was a niche player who used his big body to screen goalies and slurp up the garbage... he was a tip-in guy.. front doorstep. Parise is a much more creative high-end calibre of player, and Suter is no where near Lidstrom's level. Alas, he's the best defenseman available.

Detroit can afford Parise at 7-8 million since that was Lidstrom's contract. But do you want to pay that much for a guy who maybe only a 65-75 point forward? He's no world class, generational defenseman.

In a dream world, I would move Jordan Staal and have him exploited as a top line centerman, which is his natural position and the minutes alone teamed up with a Ilya Kovalchuk would allow for him to break out and meet his lofty expectations that are expected of a former 2nd overall selection. In return, we get much stronger on the wing. Parise with Sidney Crosby... would be as nice as James Neal with Evgeni Malkin.

Of course this is all dreaming. heh

I think New Jersey finds a way and retains his services. They would be idiots to let him go. He's 27 and a natural left winger who at best can get you over a point-per-game. In today's NHL, that is BIG!

For all we know, and this is how it usually goes, the player goes to the last team all the experts say... and shocks everyone. Suter to the Edmonton Oilers (hey they need more defensemen)... and Zach Parise goes to the Colorado Avalanche. Just for ____s and giggles.

I think I did this in NHL '95 once.

Even the baby Leafs are good for a laugh.:lol
