it's not boring. it's only boring for the opponents' fans cuz their team can't adapt to it and score any goals. sitting on the puck in your own zone waiting for somebody to come after you is boring, lazy, and cheap. i'm glad the lightning stuck to their game last night and didn't give in to the flyers. and they came away with 2 more points because of it.

I dont blame Philly, no rule says you have to move north and south. Not m oving is one thing, but pitching it east to west is another. Tampa is a snoozefest, glad philly did waht they did

It's not pitching it east to west. I'm pretty sure that would amount to a whole lot of icing. They just clog up the neutral zone with 3 players.

I meant Philly not moving it up ice. They froze it but I have not problem with them going D to D until Tampa forechecks

Completely overblown. Miller was out of his crease and was fair game. If you watch the replay he tried to throw a shoulder and swung his stick at Lucic after the play. 2 minutes yes, but a suspension is taking it too far.

It's an illegal hit and he did have an intent to plow the guy down. You don't do that to goalies.

Hitting the goalie is a penalty which was accessed. That alone isn't a suspendable offense. I'm not sure how intent to injure can be proven in this case.

The very fact that it's illegal hit and it's a known fact you're not allowed to run down the goalie is a great case!

Lucic did have the jets on, looks like he had no time to stop and he really shouldn't have tried since he wasn't too far off from retrieving the puck.

While I do hate all things Boston, Miller needs to grow a pair. If you go out that far your just asking to get some.

The hit was a bit classless by the code of hockey but Miller did come out to the play the same puck Lucic was playing. Nobody ever complained back in the 80s and 90s when a goalie would come out of the crease and get flipped on his head or low bridged or whatever (go watch a few Don Cherry videos and see how many goalies took a beating leaving the crease back then). Lucic got the penalty he deserved (in today's hockey). Penalty, yes..suspension , no (even if Miller has a concussion Lucic didn't target the head which is Shanny's bread and butter suspension nowadays).

Now on to the gutless talk let's talk about how gutless Buffalo's players were in defending their goalie. Okay no one on the ice is a fighter (BS Gaustad can go) but McCormick had the whole rest of the night to take a crack at Lucic and no one did.
