Thanks bro. This league is a sad sad league.
So frustrating.
So frustrating.
And the season is over folks!

I keep forgetting... Say the entire season is lost, what happens to players who were on the last year of their contract? Do they suddenly become free agents? Or, players with 2 years left? Is that one year wiped away (for Gomez!) or does that year get transfered over to the following year like nothing happened?
If the season is lost, 1 year will burn away from existing contracts. Sadly we could be that much closer to not seeing Gomez wear le bleu, blanc et rouge. Possibly never again if they push through the amnesty buyouts.

Are you sure? I didnt think it burnt off the year, think how that would change the whole UFA and RFA pool when they came back.

You would think if thats the case the players would regrettabley settle, way to much to lose.
I imagine that overpaid guys like Gomez find the strike to sting quite painfully. He'll never get those millions back. While I can see the sense in the players playing hardball with the owners, in the end it seems like the players have the most to lose. An owner has the opportunity to make lots of money for a lot longer. IMO, it's only a question of time before the players cave anyway.
