He is because it's not like he was sitting around at home..Washington players are useless this year and it wasn't Brucie's fault at all...he is a fantastic playoff coach IMO :dunno

At the AHL level yes, but at the NHL level he never made it to a conference final.

But came very close...and being a Caps fan, a lot of his star players just flaked like they always do in the playoffs..Backstrom, Semin..I think Boudreau will play a pivotal role in Anaheim and really help get that team back on its feet. He will get Perry and Getzlaf playing back to the standard that they should be playing. I'd mention Bobby Ryan but he is most likely going to be traded for a goalie or a good D-man.

how can you tell your team is missing it's top DMan...41 shots against one night 49 the next

the difference is Boston is winning when facing those shot numbers :D

I said it then and I'll say it again, for obvious reasons they are one of the best teams in the league. Many could argue they are the very best. Right now with no Letang and Crosby in my Pens lineup I would say that the Bruins are one up on them. Yup, it's a good time being a Bruins fan.

only took me 20+ years of being a depressed Bruins fan to now be a happy Bruins fan. Once Thomas leaves I will be an ecstatic Bruins fan

I used to feel the same way, but after last season's playoffs I can't. He's still playing at a high level this year. It'll be interesting to see what Chiarelli does with Rask's upcoming RFA. Thomas only has next year left on the current deal. I don't know how much longer Rask will want to continue splitting time though.

For the time being it's a great situation to have too much goaltending.:)

No excuse (missing players). The Flyers got rid of their two leading scorers from last year (Carter and Richards). They have been playing without Pronger and now Giroux. They have been playing VERY well.

Other people need to step it up! :lecture

not even 25...creeping up on 40..I think Peter will make the right decision or be burnt at the stake...

Pronger is likely done. They said he won't even make the playoffs. If he's smart he will retire.

Sad sad man, the Pens are w/o Crosby and Letang and still winning. Huge difference between Richards and Carter vs. Crosby and Letang, and yeah, you got a crapload of talent back for those players. We get nothing when our guys are down, but the guys who have to step it up.

Just sayin'.
