Ah all this sounds to familiar, not to kick the Habs when they are down, but isnt this exactly what Ive been saying since at least last year?

10.50$ for beer
30$ for parking
As long as there are ***** in the seats and they appease the local media, its a business and the owners dont give a ____.

On Price, Im the biggest detractor, but still think Price has done a 180, I take him over 95% of the goalies in the league anyday
Look at this ____ty team in front of him, 17 of his losses the Habs have scored 1 or fewer goals, how can you hang this on him?

Bicurious Georges, Shallow Hal, Slewban, Diass, Hemelin, Campoli

Please, that defence is atrocious.

This team has no ____in balls

Sorry RS, time to can Gauthier and blow this ____ up. I only keep Price and Cole, the rest come and get em.

Dude, I would totally take Hal Gill. Big stay at home D Men are becoming rarer and rarer.

You see no reason to keep Pacheretty and Deharnais or Emellin?

I wouldnt trade them for draft picks, but for the right price they should go also. Maybe not Emelin, but Patches and Desharnais are available.

If unloading Gomes meant tossing one of them in, do it (again for teh right return

Hal Gill was great but I dont know if Id be so eager to grab him now, feel like he would be even slower this post season. That being said, hope the Pens do trade for him :)

I hope Gautier is fired prior to any more moves... This guy does not know how to deal. It appears that far more often than not, the other teams get the better looking deals.
It really is time for someone else to mold this team.

Any predictions for this weekend? If the Habs lose both games, will Gautier still be around by the folowing weekend?

I think Gauthier makes the season, dont think he is making the deals now anyways. Something tells me Pierre Mcguire is in line for this job. That being said if it is PM (insteadof Julien Brisbois) then the next coach will be 100% francais

Bah. Gautier would trade Plekanec for a 3rd or 4th round pick and a fourth liner.

Last year, he traded Maxime Lappy to Anaheim for a 5th rounder (and a nobody who ended up getting traded for another nobody who ended up signing with Buffalo for zip). Meanwhile, Anaheim traded Lappy a few weeks later for a 3rd rounder. This year, the Canes were shopping around Kaberle and even threw in a 2nd rounder as incentive. Then, no-idea-Gautier shows up and spoon feeds the Canes with a fabulous "get out of salary cap hell" type of deal and doesn't even get the 2nd rounder. Don't get me started on the Cammalleri trade or that epic fail signing of Gomez and Gionta and the trading of future all star defenceman McDonough, which we all know Gautier was a big part of as he was very involved in Habs scouting... I guess someone forgot to remind Gautier that the midget habs needed a big defenceman.

Then there's the Sergei Kotstysin, Mike Ribeiro, Chris Higgins trades and others that we let get away for nothing. Halak for a career 3rd liner. The 3 year signing of Markov for 18 million (now 2 years left, and we got squat from Markov). Gautier is the laughing stock of the league. When GMs see his name on the caller ID, they must begin to salivate. Gautier has been with the Habs since 2003. I think it's safe to say that we've seen what he can do. Time for someone else.

If I had to point out the worst thing Gautier did, it was when he apologized for hiring an anglo coach. It was the same thing as saying anglos are second class citizens in Quebec.
I would never want anyone to apologize for hiring me for doing a job I could do simply because a xenophobic minority preferred I didn't exist.

Why the heck would anyone want to join this organization at this time? It's a mess. When the Habs become more laughable than the Leafs who haven't won anything in 50 years, you know something major is wrong. Is Molson just some ******* rich kid without any hockey sense? Has this guy ever worked for anything or accomplished anything on his own in his life? He just named himself president without any actual experience at that position. What does that say? It's like he just bought his 9th Ferrari which he has no idea how to drive but it looks good in his driveway.

WOW! 6-0 Devils over Flyers to 6-4. Philly scores 4 straight goals in the third. This would be hilarious if they came back and beat New Jersey. :thud:

Does Gomez have any pride as a player at all? How can a player, a former all star no less, go a year without scoring a single goal and so willingly and cavalierly eat up 1/7 of his team's salary? I'm just so disgusted by it. The NHLPA should be embarrassed by it. I truly hope the next CBA agreement addresses the need to allow teams to cut players of this putrid calibur. It's contemptible. He isn't a fouth line goon making a basement salary. I hope the owners consider the NFL's strategy on cutting players. ...Arrrrgh.

Gomez plays with zero desperation or passion. There's just no incentive or motivation there. If players of this ilk knew they could be cut at any time, they would definitely work harder.

I don't see why they don't send him to Hamilton.

The other options are to buy him out which doesn't entirely clear the cap, trade him which no GM worth a damn would conceivably do or just keep him rotting away on the NHL roster.

I think he'll end up rotting away the NHL roster as a whole.
His teammates must want to strangle him by now...
