Re: 2013 NHL Season

I suppose I will root for the team that walked all over mine. Feels fitting (less painful than seeing the team that dominated yours fall)... that and Boston could use a feel good story this year.

Boston in 6.

Really thought the Hawks would get a shot at revenge on the Penguins.
My girlfriends family is from Pitt and we were all wanting that. Oh well this should be a great match up.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Bruins in 6 for sure this time. Although I'd be happy if the hawks win.

I'd be happier when the Bruins win it. Make Beantown, Titletown once again.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Not that I'm normally very accurate anyway, but I just have no clue how to predict this series.

Boston is better built for playoff hockey, and have a goalie who is skilled. Chicago has speed and finesse. In a long series, I see Boston taking it. I think for Chicago to take it, they have to do it in 5.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Difficult series to call here. The two NHL teams I dislike the most...lol

At first I was thinking Boston in 6 but the more I thought about it, I'll pick Chicago's speed in 7. The Hawks proved a lot by beating a physical Kings team.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Bylsma and his assistants get 2 year extensions. Didn't see that coming.

Just heard it. I'm not surprised. Sure all coaches go but it wasnt his fault for the sweep. Just like it wasn't Franconas when Papelbon screwed the sox out of a playoff run two years ago.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Well... I always said I liked Dan Blysma, but it seemed as though he lost his troops. The message these past few seasons hasn't been hitting home. Apparently Mario and Shero see otherwise. I thought for sure something would change in the team dynamic. It had to. If they extend Blysma they should load up again. Granted it won't be as easy next year with the cap going down and Letang and Dupuis' both looking at a huge payday. FFS...

If they retain both of their services (and they should), perhaps they can have a cheap front loaded contract to resign or sign new guys for next year (to make a run for the Cup), then the following years their salary goes up towards near market value. Either way, someone has to take a hometown discount, and I am thinking it won't be both.

I don't know... This gives me the impression history will repeat itself.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Kinda shocked! I thought Blysma was a goner for sure and also suprised MAF is gonna get his job back.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Lazy play by Horton for that goal.

My reaction to Chelsea Dagger is much like the owner in Major League to Wild Thing.:lol
