Re: 2013 NHL Season

Yea I don't think so. Adding Streit and Vinny will add some much needed depth to the line up.

Streit is one of the best PP QB in the NHL. Vinny is still a capable 70 point player when healthy. I agree, these aren't horrible signings. Goaltending and defense is still an issue.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

WOW! Boston with a monster deal sending forward Tyler Seguin, veteran Rich Peverley and defenseman Ryan Button to the Stars for forward Loui Eriksson and three prospects (Joseph Morrow, Matt Fraser, and Reilly Smith).

Re: 2013 NHL Season

INSANITY! Boston wins if Matt Fraser becomes this so-called Michael Ryder version 2.0 many have him pegged to become. All I know is he has one of the best shots in the game. Elite accuracy and power... and then there is Joseph Morrow, who IMO hasn't been all that impressive in his pro debut. But Loui is pretty damn good to have.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

I don't hate the deal. I like many of the parts coming back, especially Ericksson.

However, I hate giving up on Seguin at 21.

Joe Thornton 2.0... hehe

What I mean is dealing a player prior to them breaking out to being one of the best. hehe

Not suggesting they play alike. haha

That was a horrible Bruins deal. This one is good. I actually like Fraser the most going 5 years from now. His elite shot and innate ability to find the net, with a good sized frame has me foaming from my mouth. Been following him closely in fantasy circles. Loui will be regressing by then, and the jury is still out on Joe Morrow. Not happy with his first pro season. He was surpassed by Brian Dumoulin in the Pens farm system, and Kevin Connauton in Dallas' farm. I get that he's a first-year pro (btw no different than Dumoulin who I always believed to be better, and yes, a guy you know!), but so far he has disappointed. He was a can't-miss prospect in his position. A steal of the 1st round. We were advertised a high-end product and he gave us low-end production. Lets see how round 2 works out.

Wow, I thought Chiarelli was just throwing the trade talk out there to motivate Seguin, didn't think anything would actually happen. I like the trade though. Seguin has the talent but doesn't appear to have the heart. Maybe he'll get it at some point, but the Bruins time to win is now and they needed to do something about the cap situation.

Stoked!!!

Sorry Seguin but we've moved on. Lackluster playoff presence I'm afraid.
Guess the Kessel trade is now nullified.

....Orr....is it!!??? :lol

Phil Kessel for Loui Erikkson!!!!??? What were the leafs thinking!!!?

There we're now back on track at over analyzing this trade to death and beyond.
