Re: 2013 NHL Season

Maybe Alfie just wanted to get a jump practicing with his Team Sweden teammates before Sochi?

4/13 for Ference in Edmonton. Crazy contract, but good for Andy. I hope he does well.

As for Horton, good for him finding a market that he'll be comfortable in and get paid well. The fans/media in Columbus probably won't notice when he frequently takes nights off and disappears for months at a time.

Horton will be out until December due to shoulder surgery.

Clarkson to TOR. Have fun with that Leafs fans!

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Holy ugh.

I don't actually mind the signing of Bozak and Clarkson as players, and the Bozak terms are solid, but that Clarkson deal... blech.

Add to that the fact that they let MacArthur go for half that, and it's a bad signing day.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

I liked the trade the Bruins made yesterday and after hearing some of the stuff that's coming out about Seguin I'm liking it even more. Now his mom's lashing out at the Boston media. :ohbfrank:

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Darren Dreger ‏@DarrenDreger29s

I'm told the Bruins are also talking to Jarome Iginla. Good scoop. Can't make this stuff up. #TSN

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Pierre LeBrun ‏@Real_ESPNLeBrunnow

As per @DarrenDreger, Bobby Ryan to the Ottawa Senators for Silverberg, Noesen and a 1st rd pick

Great deal for the Sens.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Jets have done nothing! Muawahahahaha!

We have cap space. Woohoo. LOTS AND LOTS OF CAP SPACE! WE WIN!

yeah....

Would love one of Roy or Brunner.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Michael Ryder 2/7 with the Devils.

Damn, I got my hopes up for a few hours there for the return of Ghost Ryder.:monkey2

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Iggy to the Bruins for real this time.:lol

I'm curious as to how he is going to be received by fans.

I'm not as excited over this as I would have been 2 months ago. Thankfully it's just a one year deal. I don't think he will make a great deal of difference. Too slow n washed up.

Funny how this all played out.

I can live with a one year deal. He has to produce more than Jagr did.

The lines right now are probably looking like

Iginla-Krejci-Lucic
Eriksson-Bergeron-Marchand
Soderberg-Kelly-Caron/Spooner
Thornton-Campbell-Paille

Not too bad. I'm ready for October.:impatient:

Re: 2013 NHL Season

So regarding some Wild news....

GONE

1. Matt Cullen goes to Nashville.

2. Pierre-Marc Bouchard goes to the Islanders.

3. Devin Setoguchi to the Jets for a 2014 second-round pick.

4. Cal Clutterbuck traded to the Islanders for Nino Niederreiter.

ARRIVED

1. Keith Ballard.

2. Nino Niederreiter from the Islanders trade.

3. Matt Cooke. That's right, Matt F'N Cooke! Signed to a three-year, $7.5 million deal. Just another reason to hate the Wild. :lol

-Jared Spurgeon was re-signed to a three-year, $8 million deal.

What's leaving is better than what you guys are getting.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

At this rate the Caps look like a lottery pick team.

Unreal!

F U GMGM!!!!!!!!!!

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Matt F'N Cooke! :rotfl

And Dany Heatley's cap hit for this season is 7.5 million. :horror

So Eli, what's the deal on Niederreiter? (5th overall in the 2010 draft)

Can this guy become a player?

He's the Swiss Stanislav Chistov. Which is not a good thing. Amazing speed and toolset, without the toolbox. Can't put it together. Lack of confidence a huge factor. I like what Cal Clutterbuck brings to the table for the Islanders. Matt Martin and him will be the NHL's factual present day answer to the Hanson Brothers. Lets hope this kid (Nino Niederreiter) does something. If not, it's going to look bad. You just gave up a young physical forward who has the ability to score some timely goals. I like Cal as a depth producer. Nino's big thing is his offence, which unfortunately has been sorely lacking. 64-2-1-3 in the NHL and 54 points in 80 AHL games. I would hope more from a 20-year-old taken high with BIG expectations.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Alexander Burmistrov signed a 2 year deal in the KHL with that ugly fish looking thing in Star Wars: A New Hope. Jets own his NHL rights until age 27.

Good riddance.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Caps have done NOTHING!!!! The rest of the division is making moves and getting better, yet we do nothing! GMGM is gonna be in for a rude awaking, we aren't in the southeast anymore, ugh!!! :slap
