Probably the worst opening period NYR played all year, lucky they weren't down 10-0. Lucky to come away with a win tonight, showing up for 35-40minutes isn't going to cut it.

P.S. I saw the Game 1 Jets vs. Ducks game in Anaheim. First time I watched a playoff game from the opposition's homestead. Was a great experience!

They also looked like they were more concerned with crushing the isles in the physical game, which took away from their offence
Man, it was beautiful to watch the top line crank it up at the end of the 3rd period against the Preds last night. The way they controlled the puck that lead to the GWG was a sight to behold. Defense is going to have to do much better in the next round. Can't continue to hang our goalies out to dry with all those turnovers. Bring on the Wild or the Blues. That's gonna be another tough series.

I am still annoyed Edmonton won the Draft. Really hurts the Coyotes success in Phoenix, but I actually dig the idea of a generational type player going to a Canadian franchise. Hasn't happened since the Gretzky Oiler days of the 1980's. So nearly 30 years ago. Damn.

Those *******s don't deserve him either, no way a team with that many top picks can still be that bad, team has been completely mismanaged by a group of incompetents
Caps D was stellar. Heard a stat that they held the Isles forwards to 3 shots for the entire game, and those 3 were all in the 3rd period.

Trust me I get it. I don't think any team deserves 4 1st overall picks, especially in a span of 6 years. But hey, Pittsburgh had 2 1st and 2 2nd overalls... so we shouldn't really talk. Pot calling the kettle black. But at least the Pens did something with their picks. 2 Stanley Cup Finals. One Stanley Cup. Edmonton can't even make it out of the bottom three. lol

And yay no Kit bitching for a while. His team advanced. Yahooie!!! Seriously if it means no bitching from him, keep winning Wash... I just want the Flames to win it all. If they don't, then by all means Kit, your team can win the Cup for all I care.
