And yay no Kit bitching for a while. His team advanced. Yahooie!!! Seriously if it means no bitching from him, keep winning Wash... I just want the Flames to win it all. If they don't, then by all means Kit, your team can win the Cup for all I care.

And yes, I get the Ducks should dispense of the Flames in Round 2, but one can dream...

They have a chance, kept my playoff beard going for them....

Round 2 schedules were released today.

Not thrilled about NY / Wash getting a 12:30pm Saturday game, but looks like MSG was booked with concerts or the NHL didn't want to compete with the Floyd/Pac fight.

I don't think NYR plays well at that time slot either, but I can't remember for sure.

Rangers lost Zuccarello in round 1 which is huge. He took a slap shot off the head and is out indefinitely. Yandle hasn't practiced at all, and Klein has had a broken arm but is rumored to be ready to go. Hope he is, NY can't afford to lose anyone else at this rate.

Congrats Washington. Bar none worst game I've seen NY play all year, as it's clear they didn't get the memo they were in a playoff game until about 9 mins left in the 2nd period. Caps will sweep if this is the level of compete NY is bringing to the series.

I predicted a 4 game sweep. After last night's game, it's looking to be that way. I can see Calgary getting one game. Maybe make it a 5 game series. Will be interesting to see a Ducks/Hawks series. Those are the two teams that look evenly matched.

When I posted that the Hawks were up 3-0 in the 1st period and they have two Cups in the past 5 years.. so yeah, I figured they looked pretty good to advance when I made my post, but then the Wild made a game of it with a near comeback.

Well, the Hawks now have a 3-0 strangle hold in the series after a nail biter last night. 2 of the games in this series were very tight but the Hawks managed to find a way to win. It's now easily starting to look like the Hawks/Ducks Conference Final you predicted. Minnesota seemed like such an improved team. I never thought the Hawks would be in a position to sweep them.

Flames won. What a thrilling come from behind victory. Especially since Bennett was robbed from a goal, reminiscent of the 2004 playoff SCF when Gelinas was robbed from what could/should have been the Stanley Cup winning goal.
