Pish posh. No blind homer here. I am also a realist. A fan sticks with a team through thick and thin. No matter how dire the situation gets. Having said that, the series isn't over yet and this Valarmov kid looks like something special.

Could be worse, you could be an Islanders fan which has been a devotee to a team with no real direction in the past 10 years. Depending on who you talk to, that can go as far back as their 1979-83 Cup run. There are no Ovechkins, Backstroms, Semins, and Greens on that team. They are flat out bad year in and year out with a No. 1 goalie made of glass tied down to a contract that will last an entire cat's life. No big superstars, unless they get one of Duchene, Hedman, or Tavares and they become something special.

Even then, I would take one of Washington's big aforementioned four before any of those three kids. Atleast with the Caps, you know what you got. Some of the best talent in their positions and they are still very young on top of that.

Be happy. The end of the Cap's tunnel looks bright finally. Just not as bright as the Penguins. :D

^^^^ the Caps and ^^^^ their tunnel.

LOL that was funny

Although Im glad the Caps may be out soon as it will mean, that should the Pens advance they wont have to play the Bruins next round

But the Caps have caught some real bad breaks, sooooo many goal posts. They have some real talent and should be there in a couple of years

And as for the Habs, na na na na hey hey hey hit the golf course. Dont forget Priority number 1, french coach

Aren't you from Montreal?

Anyway, I hope someone clocks that Avery good.

Ya but I despise the Habs, they have out a mediocre product on the ice for years.

Dude, it's my job to dump on the Crapitals. Not you. Now you're taking the fun out of it. Don't make me be nice and say more good things about your team. It really pains me to say such things. :monkey4

Dude, you have NO idea how pissed off I am at this so called "team". They are ^^^^ing TRASH on ice. A bunch of ^^^^ing chokers and losers. I HOPE they lose Friday so the misery can ^^^^ing end. Go golfing Caps! God knows you don't want to show any ^^^^ing effort in the playoffs! They showed up to play ONE ^^^^ing period tonight. They deserved to lose! ^^^^ their stupid *****.

Yes, dumping Mark Streit killed their Power Play which was once golden because they didn't believe he was legitimate stud property. And to think they could have had him for a song and dance at 2.5 million USD per season. What a bargain for what should be a Norris candidate in this poster's opinion.

Lets see he leads a dreadful offence in scoring with 56 points in 74 games. All on the back end clocking at nearly 30 minutes per game, unlike last season when Carbs shifted him between 4th line forward duties and bottom on the D. Basically a PP specialist. He sports a +6 on the worst team in the league with a horrible GF to GA differential. I say he deserves it.

So many piss-poor moves made by Gainey and company. I think Carbs was fired prematurely. Sure he was expendable, but they should have waited until the very end.

Habs have made many poor judgement calls. Also, I don't like how they have utilized Guilluame Latendresse's skillset. He's a top-six pivot. He's playing with crap. When he was up with Koivu and Kovalev in the beginning he had 6 points in his first 5 games. He gets demoted because of Higgins return from injury? Yeah, and what happened to that floater?

I never did like how the Habs organization treated their talent.

Im impressed, you know your Habs

It will be a long off season for them, the fans actually booed Price tonight.

Way to go idiots nw you have someone else thats going to want out.

Arggg....the caps are so disappointing. They always ^^^^ it up. I really don't expect them to win the series at this point. But I hope they prove me wrong.

I wiki'ed it. Nah, I am a hockey fanatic. I love hockey more than I love SideShow Collectibles and movies.

I am in a 30 man fantasy keeper league and I won the Cup. The league has been around for 10 years and I am now the most winningest GM in that league. I love hockey. I live, breathe, and if I could eat it, oh yes I would.

You know those chocolate wagons look like pucks.

Many teams have come back from 3-1 series deficits. Nobody should know better than me!

Being from Winnipeg I saw a Winnipeg Jets team have the series lead on the Oilers in 1990 (3-1), and the Canucks in 1992 (3-1), only to lose 3 straight in both series.

As a Pens fan I am more fortunate. The Caps are famous for blowing 2 game series leads over and over again. It can happen.

They have everything. Now it seems they have goaltending. Granted they could tighten that D a bit more and figure out Lundqvist. Ovechkin, Backstrom, Semin, and Green have to be their usual dominate selves that they showed in the past 50-60 games.

The Caps are down but not out. I have faith they will win game 5 then from there who knows the pressure would be back on NY to close it at home and not have to go back to DC......it can happen....it will happen.

C-A-P-S CAPS CAPS CAPS!!!

:rock

Now the looong wait for round 2:tap

Being well rested helps. Seldom teams win Cups being drained out by multiple 7 game series.

I think being rested helps. Also, you have the best avatar and sig combo on these forums! It would be better if it were the Penguins, but am a fan of the Bruins. :rock

Ummm.... How do you figure? It's Game 5... :duh

Because momentum swings in the Flyers favour then the go home, most likely win and come back to the igloo for game 7.

The Pens needed to bury one in the first, you let a team hang around..

Malkin scores, but goal is called "No goal!" because it is a kicking in motion. Too bad his stick didn't touch the puck. :(
