Yeah I did that too, the original was actually a more greenish blue, which to me was inaccurate anyway, but it was a very muted color and looked believable. This new color is just loud and obnoxious.

At least they gave us a months notice so I could decide what I want to do with my order. Funny that no one complains about Nightcrawler, they make changes, a lot of people complain about cartoon-horse-face-thanos and nothing gets done.

^Indeed. What goes on in their heads over there is beyond me. However, I do still like this statue. I've been saying to myself ever since I ordered that I'd probably cancel due to financial concerns. However, I think I'm more of a Nightcrawler fan than I previously believed, because I just can't see letting it go. I could hope that the eventual PF will really pull it off, but I've been disappointed in that kind of planning before.

I think the new paint is an improvement, especially his face. The blue on the tail looks a little too bright, but that is probably due to the lighting. An improvement, but still not enough to get me to order this.

Make it 1/4 scale and then we are talking.

I think the painters in China made too many of these in the wrong color scheme. So, instead of scraping all of them we get a e-mail announcing the new and improved color scheme on Nightcrawler and how excited they are to share this with us.

This is BS! There have been too many QC issuses with your current releases. It has gotten out of control. We pay way too much for your pieces to have to accept such half ass QC! Get on your game and tighten up these problems already.

that's exactly what i was thinking, let's not change something that everyone is screaming for, but oh wait a minute let's change this piece since everyone seems happy with it.

I like the changes, blue scheme looks more vibrant, it looks like they made the black on his uniform have more of a gloss finish than the flat look it had before. They also added the red stripes on his gloves and boots. Overall it is definitely improvement.

I agree with everyone else that I am dissapointed they did not make an adjustment to Collossus and made alterations to nightcrawler instead, seems odd.

Still can't bring myself to cancel. Really thought that I was going to.
Watch, since I won't cancel this then the eventual PF will be amazing. However, if I did cancel this then the PF would end up being a disappointment.

Nope, was never a fan of Angel, but the statue is looking extremely nice.
I am, however, very looking forward to the Archangel PF.

Someones waitlist might've converted last night when i had to cancel, i was sure to inform SSC about the reasons for my cancellation i.e horrible new paint scheme, as much as i love nightcrawler the new paint just ruins the modern look and butchers the their attempt at the original at the same time

I like him! I think he looks cool, the pose is good and the paint job is actually very vibrant. The X Men 1/5 line will have good color to it. I saw him at SDCC and his uniform had a nice shine to it. The new blue is an improvement. I think this is a good nightcrawler depiction.

I just didn't think the paint job needed changing. The proto looked good to me. I can live with the new colors and I do think the sculpt is great. I will be adding this piece to the collection.
