that's not TOO bad. All I know is that DCD should license out DC to have companies specializing in figures make itfor them....butthat will never happen, oh well

That's great, could it be an Andy B. head? I'm not a big fan of Nightwing and Batman having the same size body, but the costume is executed pretty well.

It does look very Andy-like. I think I remember reading that he did the Captain Marvel sculpt... Did he do any of the other 13" figures?

Would the alternate mask be black, or did Nightwing wear a totally different design at one time?

Looks horrible. I liked all the others (not enough to buy) but this one screams 12" Batman: The Animated Series figure...definitely not up to par with the rest....

Face sculpt looks okay its the body and the costuming that really downgrades it for me...

If there is a company that really needs to develop different bodies for different characters it's DC Direct. Otherwise not bad but I can't see myself buying it. Too much else on my plate. I will probably break down and buy the Catwoman though. First female in the line is hard to resist (no pun there). :angelsmil

I know what you mean. It's the lack of detail of the costume, but it's staying true to the comic book character's outfit. Problem is we don't get to see all his muscle definition like in the comics to make him more outstanding, as detail is concerned. Given that most lines stay pretty consistent with their body types, there isn't much more DC Direct could have done here. I suppose some characters just don't translate as well from comic form into 1/6 cloth doll (figure for you purists) form.

I still say that the Superman, Lex Luther, and Batman look the best. Somewhat into the Aquaman as well.

They really should have developed a slimmer body for characters like Flash and Nightwing though. But it seems the line is doing well. I'm hoping they re-do Catwoman's head though - that is seriously silly looking.

I wish these were 12" - then I'd consider them. I just don't know that I can commit the space to have them separate and I think they'd look a little odd mixed in with 12" figures.

Yeah, I agree 100%. Most likely I will still buy Catwoman. Sometimes I'm a sucker :)

That really bugs me too. But I have found they do make good artist's models for some works. They have a very heroic look about them, as they should; however, the scale did bother me more before I found this use for them. That is why I have not picked up very many. I only need so many figures acting as models. Though, I do have a habit of trying to pick up at least one body type from each different 1/6 scale manufacturer.

I wonder how hard it'd be to do a swap with a 12" body. Not necessarily SSC Art Bucks although the bigger 13" heads might actually be in scale with the larger SSC heads in general...There is serious potential there I think...

Too big of a body WTF? This should clearly be a 12". And why no Wonder Woman before Nightwing?

I think it's too late to make the switch to 12" bodies. They were already 13 figures into the line. As for Nightwing's early appearance, DC is giving Nightwing a major push and trying to make him part of the big seven (I guess eight now).

What's so silly about Catwoman's head? Aren't all women's heads as small as a tack. Or was that the brain?

If any women reads this, don't kill me. I was only kidding! *tries to make a run for it*

I think its a mistake to keep them all 13". Nightwing is shorter than Batman and Superman, so is the Flash so keeping them all at 13" throws off the scale. They have scale in their 6" line why move away from that here? If they offer a Robin will that be 13" too? Can't wait until they offer a 13" Mr Mxyzptlk...
