No I thought you had a new news story with a more solid March 2011 estimate (like within March confirmed) because you quoted yourself from June 17 saying you guessed right or something when the spring 2011 release estimate has been known since March 2010.

Yea I did read somewhere that is was solid but forget the gaming site I was on. I only go to a select few, but sadly I don't think it will be out by Christmas. March 2011 sounds more realistic.

Well I heard the colors they are showing might now be the final colors though, so you might be screwed.

They should just release a rainbow colored 3DS at launch. Solves the color problem. It also promotes tolerance.

Seriously though, a Virtual Boy compilation is a must. Leave it red and black (or other colors) and put a bunch on to one cartridge as a value package.

I still own my Virtual Boy and I even pull it out every once in a while.

I posted this in the RE Revelations thread, but I'll post it here for those who haven't seen the PICA200 GPU demo yet.

It should be noted that in order for the 3DS to create the 3D effect, the image on screen has to be processed twice simultaneously on the top screen. The GPU is running double time and still it produces graphics that look like stuff we've seen in RE Revelations and MGS3D. I wonder what games would look like if a game studio were to throw out the 3D effect in favor of tapping the 3DS's true power. Then I'd believe that the system could produce 360/PS3 level graphics.

If anyone doubted that the 3DS was capable of creating PS3/360 level graphics, just take a look at a graphics demonstration video showing what the 3DS's GPU (the PICA200) can do:

And there are some folks who don't think MGS3D looks as good as the PS2 version. I think it looks better than the PS2. An example:
