Sounds like Nintendo is planning some way to transfer over Virtual Console titles and game saves from your Wii to the Wii-U. That would be a nice feature.

Just got back from a Wii U Experience exhibition. Was able to play Project P-100, Pikmin 3, Ninja Gaiden 3, Zombie U, Rayman Legends, and Super Mario Wii U.

From What I was able to experience, pretty good. Graphics wise, for the games being demos and the developers still exploring the system, they are as good as PS3 and 360. Might get better as developers get more familiar with the system.

The controller was light but feel a bit weird because of the screen in between and the hands been farther apart than a trditional controller, but after a while, one starts to get used to it. I was able to try the pro controller; similar to the 360 controller, but the 4 face buttons are just a tad too far from the edge and felt kind of weird, but again, everything new gets a while to get used to.

Looking forward to this console after what I saw. The videos you might see on the internet don't really show how good the graphics are.

This is promising news, but I'm still disappointed that Nintendo isn't trying to really push the bar with the technical specs. "Just as good" or barely better than the PS3/360 isn't going to cut it IMO. Those machines are how old now?? I'm not expecting custom PC graphics out of a sub $400 machine, but 2 years into the PS4 and NewXbox lifecycle the WiiU will be in the same position the Wii is now.

Wii-U boxes leaked by Amazon and Target.

Right now, I'm completely indifferent about this thing. Hopefully, a few demos will change my mind. Right now, it's the Meh U.

I get what you are saying. But when it comes to Nintendo franchises, this is the way to go.

Also, remember the first PS3/360 games and compare to the latest ones. Graphically, they have really improved. Same with the Wii, the first games, while the tech is new, will be similar to 360 and PS3 as they are being developed for those systems first and just ported to the Wii U. And developers will not spend that much time squeezing all the power fromthe system because they know that as long as the games look on par to the other systems, they are sure to sell.

But once they have more knwledge and experience with the system, then we might see a noticeable improvement in the graphics.

I got to see Arkham City on the Wii U, having played the 360 version, the graphics were just as good, but the framerate was a lot better. Same for Ninja Gaiden 3. I did not play the new one, my brother did and he said it sucked. But for the Wii U, they have made the gameplay (dismembering, decapitations, blood, ninpos, fluidity, refresf rate, etc) similar to Ninja Gaiden 2 and the graphics were very smooth as well as the framerate.

The best looking game for now, Pikmin 3, which was just the same demo from E3.

But yeah, I agree with you somewhat. But because when it comes to God of War, Uncharted, Halo, Gears of War and other franchises, we still have to get the other systems, regardless of graphics power.

Wonder if this will get announced at gamerscon next week wit han official release date. I have a feeling we wont get a release date and price untill the nintendo direct that will be in the fall.

You know, for a system that is coming out in 3 months, we sure don't know much about this thing. They really need to get demo units out in stores soon to start the hype.

I was thinking the same thing. They sure aren't pushing this thing to get sales.

Nintendo press conference set for sept 13 release date and price will be reveiled that day but today it was leaked that there will be 3 bundles for sale a 250 300 and 350 if true not bad the 350 supposibly comes with 2 games and the game pad pro controller and a nunchuck controller and release date will be either nov 11 or nov 18 both days are sundays. Take this info with a grain of salt but we will no for sure next week. I might preorder a black 1 if its avaible.

Your lack of punctuation and grammar makes me have a hard time understanding what you are saying.

If I understand correctly, you are saying there is a press conference Nintendo is having on the 13th and that they will supposedly reveal the price then? I had to read your post like five times to come to that conclusion.

I haven't bought a system the day it launched since the N64. If the Wii-U has good launch titles theres a good chance I will be picking this up. Especially if those prices are real.

I'll be getting one. It has some things going for it that the Wii didn't. It'll be the most powerful system for about a year. True 1080p rez, possibly better frame rates etc. It also has a nice looking normal controller option. They stole from the best there IMO. This should be the best third party option until the new consoles come out. At least for offline games. I'm curious to try out the new controller, but honestly, I'm just thinking about using for it regular gaming. A holdover until the serious hardware comes out.

Makes you wonder what they could possibly include in that $350 sku. An extra gamepad + game?

Nintendoland would be included in each version, I assume.

I highly doubt they'd offer a version at $250, I would think they'll probably sell at a minimum of $400

Considering the value, it's probably about as expensive as a smartphone---which these days at full price is around $600, Nintendo doesn't typically sell at a loss.
