Considering he's Bond, is it only two times he was actually threatened with castration of a kind on Goldfinger's laser table and the rope-swing in Casino Royale?

He was also threatened in Goldeneye by Valentin in Russia. He was going to shoot him between the legs. Also in Live and Let Die by Mr Big and the one arm henchman.

And in Never Say Never, Connery was going to get shot between the legs by a crazy woman.

Flirting will one day be considered a serious crime….

Flirting = 20 years

5 oz of Cocaine = 10 years

Killing 20 people with a limo you own = 5 years probation (true story look it up..NY)

Thanks too #MeToo it already is, guys keep racking up sexual harassment complaints in corporate America nowadays

One thing I noticed about James Bond in most if not all of his films, is that he never gets keep any large amounts of money that he wins or finds. He always loses it, gives it away, or it's taken from him by the British government or in some cases other governments.

I think it's an attempt to make Bond more "blue collar", despite the way he dresses, the cars he drives, and the overall life style he portrays when he's working. I'm watching Octopussy right now and he walked away with 300,000 pounds in winnings. He gave away stacks of cash to each of his contacts in India, and pocketed a couple for himself. However, the next scene was a chase scene, where he got stabbed in the chest. Moments later he pulled out the stack of cash which was in his jacket pocket where he got stabbed and said something like "Thank god for hard cash!" and threw it into the hat of a "poor" street performer. I think it's a way to make Bond accessible or like a sort of Robin Hood figure, despite his appareance.

Anyway, speaking of sexual harassment, literally as I'm typing this Q was showing Bond (Roger Moore) a wrist camera watch and Bond points it at a large breasted female worker's breasts and zooms in on her breasts in front of her and everyone in the room. She smiles as do the rest of the workers, with the exception of Q, who finds Bond's behavior childish. :lol

You won't see that kind of thing in No Time To Die.

I watched OP in Rio at Copacabana with a girl from Ipanema lol

That movie sucked……so did she.

I like all the Bond films, with the exception of On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I don't like that film at all. Speaking of which, he was offered a million pounds to marry a woman in that one, but he turned the money down and in the end, he married her anyway and ended up losing both the money and the girl.

Getting back to the Robin Hood and James Bond analogy, in the Goldfinger novel, Bond gives away all the money he extorted to a girl he saved and to a charity.

I'm still boycotting NTTD. I'll watch it eventually, but hopefully after it bombs. Can't wait until they reboot the franchise again.

Wait wut

OHMSS > OP

I can't stand that movie. It's literally Bond just walking around for an hour modeling a new outfit in every scene. Then there's some snow, he gets married, and she dies. :lol

I'll say this, Thunderball's music is so dull and repetitive that it gets annoying when you notice it. It's my least favorite of the Connery films.

Your thoughts on OHMSS :tap

I like it -- great ski chase and good climax -- but it never felt like Bond to me. Telly was a strange Blofeld. Lazenby a strange Bond. I never know where to rank it.

I also like A View to a Kill. I like it a lot.

Admittedly, I also like AVTAK. It's full of cringe everywhere, but Walken is so good as the villain. I'm glad it was Moore's last and he didn't exit on his worst outing with Octopussy (to me, nothing salvageable in that one).

Hard to follow Connery as Bond.

Not sure how I feel about Lazenby's gun barrel intro tho. It's kind of strange.

IMO, Lazenby wasn't original enough to take over the role. He was kind of generic, like a Ken doll. Maybe too safe of a choice.

Moore on the other hand, was very different than Connery. Moore is ultra British with a sarcastic dry humor.

There is fun to Moore and his Bond films and that's why I enjoyed them. I easily bought the fact that he loved women and could easily have any of them. Moonraker was such a cool, out there idea and I like the unrealistic Bond films. Fun and adventurous, which is what Mission Impossible is now. Bond is just too serious today, like most movies. MCU is too corny though and doesn't land half of it's jokes.

Cheesy fun.

They're all unrealistic, but yes, there's a formula that works and it's not being too serious or grounded.

It was refreshing at first, when Casino Royale came out. It was a nice change, especially after the last Brosnan film, Die Another Day went into Roger Moore territory. However, I think the reboot needs to bring back the fun and a lighter tone. It needs a bit more Kingsman: The Secret Service and less Christopher Nolan elements. It can't go full Kingsman either. There needs to be a balance.

Having said that, I think Casino Royale and Skyfall are two of the best Bond films ever. Skyfall is basically a ripoff of The Dark Knight, but it still has many of the core elements that make Bond films good.

For the reboot, I'd like an actor that's more charming and cool, not as dry and serious as Graig. I'd like to see more gadgets from Q. Nothing too over the top, but some cool iconic items for Bond to use. A traditional sophisticated Bond villain with a colorful henchman and a secret lair are always welcomed. Samuel L Jackson and his henchwoman with the metal legs would've been great Bond villains.

Oh, can't forget the puns and on liners from Bond. Connery and Moore were pretty good at it.

Plus an all out military special forces assault backing up Bond against the maniacal villain base of operations.

Doesn’t have to be land sea and air just land will suffice.

Kingsman 1 climax was heading that way I was so excited in the theater they set up all the pieces perfectly and then it didn’t happen and the movie was instantly ruined for me lol
