So I was going to watch this piece of **** in theaters, but now I'm boycotting the film.

The director called Sean Connery's Bond a rapist. What a cuck.

Cary Fukunaga Says Sean Connery’s Bond Is ‘Basically’ a Rapist: ‘That Wouldn’t Fly Today’

So **** this movie. :lol

Casino Royale might be my favorite Bond film. Was great that he was essentially suicidial and just went after people with no thought. After Quantum, Craig's films went too stylish or sophisticated. Not sure if thoae words fit what I'm looking for.

Your list is exactly the same as mine with the exception of Dr. No and OHMSS which I would also include.

Agree with this list. Pretty much the BEST for each actor -- though I'd drop Living Daylights, and add Thunderball to Connery (just for the jetpack opening, shark pool and final underwater battle/hydrofoil chase alone).

Brosnan started off great with Goldeneye but the writers for the stories later let him down. He was a great actor for Bond. Dalton to me is one of my faves right after Connery. He nailed the meanness Bond had in the books for me. Connery was just classic and smooth which really made Bond a great character come to life. Never warmed to Lazenby in the role and Moore was the ultimate Gentleman and classy Bond. If i had to give them each one movie, Connery gets Goldfinger, Moore Gets on Her Majestys secret service, Dalton with Licence to Kill and Brosnan get Goldeneye and Craig gets Casino Royale.

My Bond marathon continues. I'm watching Goldeneye. One thing I always loved about the film that gave it a certain atmosphere, was a specific background sound effect used through out the film that was also used in Leon/The Professional. It's hard to describe the sound, but it was also used in the Goldeneye videogame and probably other 90's films and shows. But I remember hearing it first in Leon and then Goldeneye used it through out the entire film even when there was no music, just that sound in the background. I had no idea it was the same composer either.

The sound it's like a hammer hitting a tube or something in the background. It's a very Russian sound even though it's not Russian at all.

Goldeneye film

Videogame

Leon

Another film that uses that sound is The Fith Element. Guess who was the composer...:lol Same guy.

I think it was also used in The Crow.

Why they never continued to use Eric Serra is a mystery to me.

I remember the goldeneye website was just the bond trailer soundtrack on a loop and that’s what sold it for me haha

no love For Your Eyes Only?? One of the biggest sexual innuendos left and right and one of the few bond films that relied on gadgets and focused on more physical action than anything!

Im weird, I like Thunderball, it’s a masterpiece in my opinion, but it takes two different strokes to rule the world.

The Spy who loved me is another one of my favorites but then again I am too watching my Bond marathon and ball like a baby during some title sequences, their emotive tracks relate to my every day life 😭😭

Good post Clown. Yeah it's a cool sound, major mid-nineties nostalgia hit there.

He seems a competent composer but I think it was his lack of reference to the actual Bond theme. I mean didn't they have to get John Barry back in to add some pieces of music to GoldenEye featuring the classic theme? The tank chase most notably.

David Arnold was a fine choice to come in after IMO. A great action composer kinda like Michael Kamen had been.

Does anyone even care about the title song for this movie since it was released years ago and it sucked.

They really should’ve thrown it out and just got a new artist and created a new song they had the time.
Hah, I forgot it was already out. Think I heard it once and have no memory of how it went.

I legit forgot it was sung by Billie Eilish until I saw an ad popped up interviewing her about the song and It came back to me she was singing it hahahaha
