I also liked Bale Batman voice quite a bit. As for the Chechen, well. . .that's what happens when you trust the Joker! Joker has no allegiances, and is totally unsentimental. He just does whatever strikes his own, personal fancy. And that usually means killing a lot of people and causing mayhem. At least that completely insane, unpredictability component of comic Joker was retained for Ledger Joker.

I always felt that the Joker hated criminals, in a way he was trying to do what Batman did, but in a bizarre and twisted way.

He wanted to corrupt the citizens of Gotham and turn their brightest into a crazy guy (two face) But as far as the criminals already on Gotham, he had no respect for them.
He didn't care bout them or their plans. He wanted to troll Batman as much as he could and in a way Batman fascinated him too, like a kid that finds and Ant farm and starts poking at it, Joker in Nolan's movie was curious about him.

But he never showed that kind of curiosity for any of the criminals. They were nothing to him, they were scum. By giving Gotham a "better Class of Criminal" it was like he was saying a Criminal that Gotham should be proud of :lol It was like he cared about Gotham in a really insane way

The fact that he disliked the other criminals kind of gives some weight to the rumor that the Joker was a soldier and got injured in battle before he came to Gotham, he certainly had a problem with the mob that was already there. He didn't want to work with them, he wanted to get rid of them as much as Batman did.

Yeah, I agree.

He had equal scorn for both sides, he was ahead of the curve, he wanted to show both sides that the only sense is in anarchy, in chaos.
He pretty much explains his philosophy to Harvey on the hospital bed.

... everything, but himself the most. That's what anarchism is.

yeah but yet he cared about Gotham, If he didn't care he would have let the mob keep going at what they were doing. He cared in the sense that he wanted Gotham to become like the way he wanted it. His city made by His rules

And I don't think he hated Batman. he loved to mess with him but I don't know if he actually hated him

Loved that analysis! And the funny thing is, he accomplished what Batman was trying to do within a short period of time. He pretty much took out the entire mob! Knifed Gambol, burned Lau, fed the Chechen to the dogs, in a way killed Maroni by turning Dent into Two-Face. Frickin' awesome!

Joker was a better Batman that Batman was :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Then at the end, Joker was sent to prison and beaten to death by all the prisoners he tried to blow up. Which is why he is not in Rises.

And yet Joker was responsible for making Harvey go Crazy, Joker told Batman where to find him......Batman stops Harvey dent, the Dent Act was passed.
Joker was responsible for the act to be created by giving Harvey a gun and sending Batman after him.
and Joker even got Batman to throw him out of a building (And stopping his madness)
