Obama is a dumb f---, if you ask me he is going to go down in flames...

This is exactly the kind of posts we are desparately trying to avoid. The more, the merrier in the discussion. But please keep it civil.

I, for one, am very interested to know why you feel Barak is doomed. I do not disagree, but I would like to read why you are of that mind. I assume, that if you feel that way about Barak, that you support McCain. Am I right? And why?

Can we please keep this thread polite? I'm enjoying hearing the different perspectives and discussing the issues and this sort of thing does nothing to keep the discourse civil.

A dumb person doesn't get nominated as the president. And hold the Bush jokes in regards to that statement since they are not productive, polite, civil, or anything more than bomb throwing.

First off he is our next President his name is BARACK OBAMA. Let's get that spelling right because we'll be saying it for the next 4 years at least.

( You like how I showed my political alliance there? )

The only thing I think people need to realize is that it is all right to vote for the individual and not get so caught up in keeping to party lines. It's your vote, do with it what you want.

Considering the Man-Child who is currently in office....let's keep the dumb people whom were elected to office or nominated for a different thread.....:D

Wasn't real impressed with the speech it seemed to be more of the same.
I noticed he claimed no more old politics but he continued to slam the Bush administration and John McCain which seemed to sound like well, old politics.
I'm curious as to what cave he's following Bin Laden to?
That comment didn't make much sense.
Also how is he gonna get us off of using fossil fuel by 2010, need some clarification on that as well?
I noticed he is on the offensive now as well challenging McCain to a debate when before he treated a debate with McCain like the black plague.
I'm just glad Michelle Obama is proud to be an American again.
Other than that the speech was great....:lol
Looks like i will be voting for Megatron this election after all why vote for a lesser evil.

I think it's time for opinions to change, I think it's time that a country with so many different races and cultures should have a non-caucasian man as it's President. I also think that this fellow is as stand up & forthright as he appears. I hope he wins... The world likes him and I think the world need to like America again. Bush was not the best PR man you guys have ever had...

He was criticizing their mistakes and perspectives. Old politics would have been to swift boat the men themselves.

He's referring to our intelligence community believing bin Laden currently resides in Pakistan and McCain telling a reporter he would not allow US forces to cross through the border to catch him. I don't think it was a very polished quip, however.

I would love to know the answer to this, but just posing the challenge is more than anyone has ever done before. (He said 10 years by the way, not 2010 which is less than two.) Let's not forget everyone thought Kennedy was a lunatic for giving us 10 years to put a man on the moon. We did it in nine.

There was no real reason to debate McCain until both men had secured their parties' nominations.

You like me don't you?
We should do lunch sometime.
I guess in the end it doesn't matter cause in the end people are gonna hear what they want to.

I'm sorry, I came to this discussion forum to have a discussion.

Don't be sorry, that's what these forums are all about at the end of the day we can disagree but still be civil.
We live in the greatest country in the world where we can have these type discussions and don't have to worry about being thrown in jail for our political views.
I just noticed since i'm not on the Obama wagon you seem to take my comments to task and seem to have an answer for all of Obamas comments.

Without a doubt Obama is a terrific orator. Put a microphone in front of him and he's a natural. But really, if you can detach yourself from the hype created by the left wing media, what exactly has he said? Listening to him is like watching an episode of Sienfeld...the show about nothing.

I for one am not swayed by his eloquent words, or by the media hype surrounding him. Talk is cheap, and by their very nature politicians will say anything and everyting that helps them get elected...and if you think Obama is any different you are kidding yourself.

You will never truly guage who a man is, or what he stands for by listening to his speeches. The only way you are going to do that is by looking at those he calls his friends, advisors, and allies. It's been stated numerous times to look at his track record to see who he is and what he stands for, and while that is a perfectly logical statement to make, perhaps some of you should take your own advice and look at the track record of the company he keeps.

Jeremiah Wright, Michael Phleger, Otis Moss III, William Ayres, Mazen Asbahi, and Tony Rezko. If you think that associating with these types of extremists [which is probably why Obama is trying so hard to distance himself from them], in some cases for decades, has not influenced Obama and helped to shape who he is today, again you are kidding yourself.

I think if it's change you want then Obama just might be your man. If a radically left wing, socialist America is what you're looking for.

And I would hope you have an answer for my answers. Discussion! :)

Listening to him is like watching an episode of Sienfeld...the show about nothing.

If you truly feel that way you can always look at his voting record to see where he stands.

The same of course could be said for McCain, who associates with "extremists" of his own.

If a radically left wing, socialist America is what you're looking for.

Well the radically right wing, increasingly fascist America doesn't really seem to be working out for us, does it?

If Obama could deliver on even half of the jive he was talking during that speech I would probably vote for him.

"Hope" and "Change" quickly became "politics as usual" though....

And I really hope Americans don't vote for a President based on what the rest of the world thinks of him. :lol
