What do you guys think of finding a 1/6 scale ben light saber and using it? I just quickly grabbed my 1/6 hot toys lukes saber. It would be easy to sculpt a little hook on his belt out of Aves

But with all this to and fro about Obiwan's lightsaber, are we all forgetting the larger question. What is gonna happen to the hilt on the Darth Vader Mythos?

I have all of the Attakus star wars statues (except the stormtrooper, which I am looking to buy) and can take some pics when I receive mine, if someone else doesn't beat me to it.

Sounds great, Ambasah... thanks!

You're very kind. A manufacturer will manufacture. Any manufacturer will manufacture. That's the physical truth of it. But when you want to be a name that people are willing to love with their hearts, or even tattoo onto their skin, you have to do more than manufacture. You have to create. Not just communication, a connection. Not just products, personality. And that, my dear fellow, is what makes for a legendary brand. And that is the gist of the argument. And that is what you're supposed to be getting. Get it?

Wow! Caught up in this thread after reading for about an hour!

And apparently there's another thread now? Likely in Ask Sideshow, huh?

Wish this were perfect, then catching up woulda been easier. :D

The photos of Vader shows the unlit saber with the different heads and hands, not only on the statue. I´m hoping they won't make the same mistake...

And I take issue with you characterizing Alex's offering as disingenuous. Get it?

For a second there, you had me completely confused. Alec and disingenuous? And then I had a re-read and saw it was Alex. :rotfl But you tell me, seriously, are you happy with what he's offering? Not as a customer, as a collector. As somebody who was looking forward to owning THE Obiwan piece. As somebody who will most probably be eating bread and water for the next month. 'A complete refund for a product.' is not just doing me as a collector a great disservice, is doing what they 'create' an even bigger disservice. And you know, sometimes, all a great brand needs to do, is say, 'I'm sorry. I ****ed up. But I'm gonna make it up to you!' And now even if they dont, the very fact they said it, makes it all good. And Alex's offer wasn't this. He gave me what even an Ikea gives me. And considering how well covered the people in Sweden are, I really have no statistics about how many of them sport an Ikea logo as a tattoo. So, you'll just have to take my word for it.

Yup. Were I buying this statue, nothing would make up for the change they made. I could not be placated, appeased or bought off. I would either reject it completely, or learn to live with it.

I know, right. But if only rejecting were that easy, man. But then we wouldn't be collectors, kids-trapped-in-adults-bodies, would we? It's a blessing, it's a curse. And we're all gonna have to learn to live with it. Damn it. :) Anyway, be right back, after opening up No. 99 of 1200...no, 2000! :rotfl you get yours yet?
