"orignal take on established characters" sounds like it got alot of potential, got a load of ideas already. A bit like the star wars Infinates.

June be a good month to start the image thread maybe?. Thats plenty of time togather parts.

OK, so you guys wanna start the final bidding on a name and title for this as "officially" the Third SSF Challenge - Original Concepts on Established Characters ?

Any more ideas to put forth?

If not, no need for a poll even...
Just a start and end date.
I am prone to June also, but mid-or end of month. Buys us three full months to gather and work.

Well if it is going to be the end of June, might as well bump it back a few more weeks for SDCC. I say posting time should be between the Dark Knight and Comic-Con.

Heck for the Freaks going to Comic-Con, it might be fun to bring these along and get a group shot at the Freaks party?

I don't care one way or the other. I am probably not going to SDCC, but will account for whatever you guys want to do deadlinewise. This is a vote oriented thing, so let's get oks on the theme, and a date.

So I take it the Original interp of existing characters is looking like the category and the TDK-SDCC as the deadline dates?

I would like to add that IF you are attending SDCC and it is possible to bring your figure(s) to the Freaks party (I know some things might be too big/fragile), that you do so. I think a group picture of them (plus the customizers) would be a pretty cool addtion for this Challenge.

But seriously, I'm excited to actually work on some real stuff now. The Dead ornament figure was technically my first real attempt at customizing. I'd add a missing article of clothing to an outfit, like a cross necklace to Scully or an armband to Kroenen, but nothing like building a new figure/character.

So this will mark my second attempt (third if you count DA's Ledger Joker and your painting of it) at making a full new figure(s). I got one idea I know I can do if I can find the parts and at least two other ideas I might be able to do.

So I can't wait to get started and to see what else you guys come up with. The category this time leads it WIDE open for variety and originality.

ANY existing character (doesn't ever have had to been made in any scale). Leaves it wide open. But it has to be your own version/vison. If you want to take part of somebody's idea and part of somebody else's idea and combine them, I think that would count since combing two different takes on a character into one would technically make it your version now.

I'm hesitating because it would be my second ever attempt at customizing (putting together my first right now).

...and I don't have a camera...

If I do get in on this, I'd have to learn to paint real fast!
