The JP diorama doesn't tell us anything. If it did, the Dinosauria Rex would look no better than the JP Rex. lol.

I don't remember hearing anything about a Stego, though. Anyone have a source?

Well the JP Rex pretty much matches the Horizon kit in sculpt...but the Raptors look really off..not just scaled down versions..I mean I have models and figures of the same size and they look better.. ;)

No source for the Stego I know of...I did contact the sculptor for a tid bit..but he did say he was working on it he couldn't say anything of course...nice guy though, I pointed him here to see what we were all thinking about.

No way, Stegosaurus will be getting a diorama! Preferably giving some Allosaur a face full of thagomizing goodness.

Allosaurus VS Stegosaurus (VS Ceratosaurus) dio ftw... though I would also happily also take maquettes of these at a later date.

The source is just a SS poll on their website concerning which dinosaur (or marine or flying reptile) fans would like to see next. The Stego won by a landslide.

All work for me as well.. ;) Anyone think Sideshow will release info on the next one by December ? They seem to moving right along with the announcements recently.

Do those polls ever show much value though ? I mean does SS generally listen to them ?

You know, I hadn't given it much thought..but a perched Quetzalcoatlus like in some of Gurney's work would be a really piece to own..and having it perched would open up the scale a bit more.

Glad to have a fellow AoR fan here who can appreciate! :rock

Def..I can spot a Dino a mile away, good dino art twice that..and Delgado's art def qualifies as such.. :D

I'm sure they do, but I think by the time they do the poll it's too late for the winner to be the next release unless it is already in the process of being made. But I have no doubt that if the winner is something they don't already have going they put it on the list.

Heck, do BOTH ! A maquette for each could start the story and go well together..then the dio could show the clash of both..works for me.. ;)

That's actually what I would like the most. I'll most likely buy a vs. dio of a stegosaurus, but since I intend to only get maquettes I really want that one.

Nah, the Ceratosaurus vs. Stegosaur has been done before, by Foulkes. What about some exotic stegosaur, against say... elaphrosaurus?

For a piece to arrive in our homes or for a new announcement? Definitely by Christmas we'll have another announcement, and as the processing e-mails showed today, the T.rex shall ship by the end of the month.

If any of the recent product announcements have been any proof, the polls show exactly that. Lord of the Rings, Marvel, Star Wars - the poll winners reflect future pieces.

Dan, I thought Foulkes piece was a Cerato vs Kentrosaur piece ? Besides, I meant a Allo vs Stego , Allo vs Cerato or maquettes of each.. ;)

Yeah Scar, I meant for a new annoucment...I would guess right after the Rex is released or the next month . As for the polls, I know a lot of toy companies do them but it seems few ever really listen to them.

I'd say we'll definitely have one over the next few months. Sideshow has been very good about previewing the Dinosauria pieces at a fairly regular rate, and they have a lot of ideas in the hopper for this line as it stands. It's just a matter of bringing the ideas to life in sculpts.

Sideshow's very, very reliable when it comes to polls. You can count on seeing a Stegosaurus.

It's a type of stegosaur. Something exotic would have been nice, but yes, I suspect they'll be sticking with good old S. horridus.

Stegosaurus stenops or Stegosaurus armatus? I'm assuming those are what you meant rather than Triceratops horridus. Considering it has such popularity it seems a dead certainty.

Given its my favorite dinosaur, I gotta know, what is the difference between Stegosaurus stenops and Stegosaurus armatus?

Oh yeah, that's it. Psh. I've got the 1:15 Foulkes Triceratops on the brain right now. God, that thing is gorgeous.
