Wow I'm surprised that EB actually came through with this...the likeness is really nice!

Too bad the price tag is $350 or something stupid

How ginormous is the top of his head? This kind of has the same issue as the ROTJ Han, good face but the shape of the head is really funky.

I agree, the forehead looks ridiculous.

The clothing and belts also look a little cheap to me -- too bight and plasticy.

This prod head has a better expression than the evil proto though. But I don't see this as superior to HT in any way at all.

EB's still has the better likeness imo (and we are now seeing actual production pics from EB and it still looks good!). I can see what they tried to do with Hot Toys version though...Just not very Depp (still yet to see the smirk face granted) and not as good as their Sweeney Todd either...

Have to agree... the sculpt on EB is nice, but I still think HT is better. And then of course the rest of him is nice and he's $110 less

Oh, I missed the part about just the head.

In that case, I like that EB has a real scarf... but I still think HT's looks better to me. But until I start to see production pics, I'll reserve the right to change my mind.

Don't get people saying the Enterbay sculpt is better but to each their own.

But sweetzombiejesus on that price difference!?!?
It would be hard to justify even if the Enterbay figure is the one that came with the sweet wheel, but its the Hot Toys figure with the awesome accessory as well!?!

I believe EB/Medicom have installed some _____ty voice box thingy...For me the head sculpt is the one and only seller on this piece...Swap EB's head onto Hot Toys jack tailoring and you'll have one hell of a Sparrow figure...I hate 'Pers' to...It's a good job Jack Sparrow IS wearing eye liner...

I liked the original headsculpt and thought it really looked a lot like Depp, but this new one looks too narrow and too long now and now I definitely think the HT has a stronger Depp likeness than this one. And the repetitive usage of pieces from the original Jack Sparrow like the plastic wrist wrap, boots and inaccurate compass and pistol just makes the price really ridiculous to me. And it looks like the embossed pattern on the baldric belt doesn't look to be there any more . That voice box better make it sound like Depp is right in front or me to justify the price they're asking for it.

overall, Hottoys version looks so much better..

Well Ultimate Unison figures are always really expensive. Who knows why though. Enterbay is often pretty reasonable with their prices and Medicom isn't too outrageous usually.

The only thing this figure had going for it was the headsculpt. Now it looks nothing like Depp and the hair is black not dark brown like it should. The clothing looks really cheap IMO and the boots are just pathetic. I really wanted this to turn out great and would've gotten the sculpt off eBay for the right price, but now I'll just save my money. HTs FOR THE WIN!!!!!
