agree.and SAB pics pleeeeze:wink1:
yeah larry quite a few guys on here really liked the kato sculpt(it was used on one of the first custom big boss figures i'd seen and looked pretty good.) for me it's the version A etd sculpt and FOF calm with the best likeness..i know the HT smiley is a great likeness, but the eyes are pretty dull, and the hairstyle is more casual than movie looking.i tried it on a few movie inspired suits, but it didn't really suit them.someone did add a GOD/ETD style hairpiece to it to make a GOD figure, but looked very wig like, maybe a bit more time getting the side gaps closely fitting the head would have a better effect.
I only really collect parts now and go the custom route for a brucey figure.costs are rising rapidly, and the last few releases have an average likeness(but better paint apps),but unless a great looking sculpt appears like arnie kim's new WOTD when he's tweaked it,i think EB are pretty much done with bruce.

Hello again gents,

Here is his house.
For those unaware, it was a 'love hotel' (pay by the hour) for 30 years+ after his death. (Doesn't necessarily mean prostitution, many couples use these places to get jiggy because the family homes are so crowded.) In his old age, the multi-millionaire who owned this wanted to gift it to the city if they agreed to preserve it and renovate it into a Bruce Lee museum, complete with new basement levels for a cinema and exhibits. The city refused - because of cost or China's weird uncomfortable relationship with Bruce Lee (individualist vs collective), no one really knows.
After the owner died its passed into the quagmire of inheritance legalities and now sits closed.
Was sad to see how much its degraded in the year+ its been closed down. Looked in much worse condition than any photo I've seen on the net, even recent ones.

41 Cumberland Road, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong:

Cumberland Road itself was an interesting mix.
Poor Bruce's house is the only ghetto looking place there.
Its still a rich area and many of the other houses looked like they were worth a mint and had polished 7 foot high stone/slate walls to keep the riff raft like me out :)
Weirdly though, half the street now seems to be international English kindergarten and primary schools, many Cambridge affiliated. Not sure how, when or why that became a thing.
Glad I went there while I had the chance though. Even though my paying respects was giggled at multiple times by school girls leaving their English schools and rolling their eyes at the foreigner standing outside the long gone movie stars house :D :D :D

The 'avenue of stars' at Hong Kong harbour is being renovated and all the statues have been temporarily moved. I went up the 'garden of stars' and found him though!

Thanks SAB.really is sad how Bruce's house and indeed memory have been neglected by the Chinese authorities there.the house would have made a great museum in Bruce's memory, times may change, but Bruce will still live on not just as the greatest martial artist, but also a great man.

Hopefully they can eventually come to some arrangement.
Even if it's just to fix up to original condition, perhaps just as a working house.
Ian Flemings Jamaica house isn't a museum but has been maintained and you can rent it nightly to stay in the place the Bond novels were written. (Costs like $5000 a night I think!)

Does anyone have this figure and HT Bespin Luke? I'm trying see if they have the same skin tone. Thanks for the help.

Just answered re: DX04 in the Luke thread. I do have both of these, and the Bruce has a slightly darker tone.

I was just thinking yesterday how much it bums me out that Enterbay stitched up the 1/6 articulated figure deal with Shannon. An extended HT line would've been awesome.

When I think about it, yeah. HT would have likely nailed the sculpt eventually.

It's not that I automatically prefer HT over EB - it's just that EB has the license and isn't doing a lot with it... while Arnie Kim, the best Lee sculptor of all, is lost to both.

agree Lejuan.EB have really not put out a great Bruce Lee figure(likeness wise) for ages:mad:,even the 75th anniversary figure was another rehash of their older GOD versions.i think Arnie is trying to set up a 1/6 Lee line for production, but it will take time.if only Bruce played basket ball:wink1: HT made a decent stab at ETD,but again even with Arnie helping to redo the sculpts,it was not a great outcome.
I have no idea where any future Lee figures will come from.(maybe someone can do a 1/4 scale line)as a huge Bruce Lee follower it's pretty disappointing collecting wise.i just pick up the odd custom stuff and bash up a figure.

That's just it. If EB were working the license, we might see improvements through their iterative process, but we're seeing nothing at all.
