I think it looks like MacGregor - a younger Ewan than you'd expect for Clone Wars though. Look at stills from Episode 2, and I think it's very close. Something like this...

However, why does he have to look exactly like Ewan? We never see Ewan's Kenobi in this armor, and this is a realistically stylized version of the cartoon character...

This Obi-Wan should be younger like AOTC Obi-Wan, at the point in the Clone Wars when Obi-Wan still had the mullet, it was early on in the war. When he got older he adopted the ROTS look. This head looks like a perfect translation of how a realistic Obi-Wan would look like out on the battlefield.

Is yours the exclusive ? Did you have any problems with the color on the belt ?

I agree and I think SS did an excellent job of translating him to "realistic" form considering he really only appeared this way in animated form. I think he looks as much like Ewan McGregor as the ANH Obi-Wan looks like Sir Alec Guinness.

This is not something that you can really argue logically about. It's completely subjective. I know that MaulFan has said many times that he feels the head is perfect. I don't agree, but it's not as if I can't see a lot of Ewan in there.

I'm not knocking the figure for that reason. It's certainly a much better likeness than many of the other figures in the line.

I got mine from cornerstore comics and it's not the exclusive. The weathering on the belt is fine, I will remove it for my own personal taste, but you shouldn't worry about it too much. In hand, it's not really that bad. I'm just happy the joints aren't nearly as loose as I thought. Not nearly as loose as the Hobbits.

It's completely subjective.

Absolutely. Between the various hairstyles and personal preferences and all, this representation of Ewan as Obi-Wan is really open to personal taste, which is why I made sure to secure a second figure and head in the event they make an AOTC figure with an alternate portrait. This head perfectly captures my personal vision of Ewan in AOTC, but I can certainly understand that some might not feel the same. I've always been a fan of the ROTS portrait but I know some aren't. I personally wouldn't bother trying to sway anyone's opinon, just give my own, and I'm very happy with what I've been seeing in the pictures.

Regardless of what people think of the Ewan likeness, just seeing pictures of this makes me think it looks like one of the most "lifelike" portraits SS has done. By "lifelike" I mean he looks alive and not like a blank stare zombie. :rock

Yup, Trev did a great job at the sculpt side and the production painters didn't drop the torch when he passed it. I'm not a fan of the teal color the eyes are getting on Frodo and Obi-Wan, but at least the circles are around the iris on this head, looks great. I'm still in awe of that beard, easily one of the best beard paint apps I've seen, the multiple colors in it, the transition from skin to the full beard, really well done.

I can see Ewan in it more in person than from the Sideshow photos. But when it came to Bespin Luke (which seems to be a popular sculpt) I really have trouble seeing Hammill in that one. So, sometimes a figure just clicks with you, other times it doesn't.

Andy's head has a furrowed brow that takes away from the likeness. Now, Andy's Mark Hamill...wow would I love to see that for sale!

No no, I'm not talking about the one on the figure, I agree, I'm talking about the head he did before the one Sideshow used on the figure that LFL made him change to have the furrowed brow, the dumbasses.
