Yes this is well worth waiting. The details put into this figure is really well worth the $$$. I would say Mark 1 is worth the price you are paying....Here are a couple pics of mine...

mywii where did u buy yours from? and how much did u pay for it? (u can PM me if u don't want to reveal it here).

Congrtz on ur new ironman haha the more i look at this pics the more i want to buy it, cant give in to temptations.lol i have yet to received my sideshow exclusive hot toys mark II.

give in... and your journey towards the dark side will be comple---- errr, hang on, wrong movie. heh heh. but seriously, i say get the mark1, it'll look fantastic next to your mark2. :D

I agree. Figure of the year. Am I the only one that didn't have a probablem with the mask? Then again I'm pretty heavy handed and not real bright. I was too eager to get it on then worry about breaking it I guess. I have had this sucker for a couple of weeks now and I still can't put it down.

me neither! for the last few days i've been like a little kid, playing with him and putting him in various poses. i think the other toys are starting to get a bit jealous. when i leave the room they're probably gonna beat him up. not that he's got anything to worry about, with all that armour. :lol

So how difficult is the mask to attach? Would a little hairdryer treatment help? I'm just a few days away from getting him and I would be crushed if I broke the mask.

the mask IS quite tricky to attach. i didn't try the hairdryer method so can't comment. but i think all it requires is some careful fiddling and jiggling of the hinges and u should find the right angle to snap it into place. if i remember correctly, i slid the helmet joint in at a 45-degree angle to the hinges, then kinda torqued it a little from side to side until it clicked into place.

hope that made sense.

That's what I did too.

I'm sure it will once I have it in hand.... I can't wait! :D

ok, preorder price, nuff said. :D
i got mine at shiok. they seem to be generally slower in getting their stock. xl got the pred1 and iron man (all 3 versions) a few weeks ahead of them.

and i don't dare to use a credit card for this hobby. cash is easier to keep track of and control. with a cc, u might forget yourself and keep swiping, swiping, swiping. vewy dangerous!

yea, that's pretty a very important piece of paper...I simply ignored mine and choose to spent time figuring where the hack are batteries and the switch...:lol Till it hit me hard when I accidentally snap off one of the wire but was lucky that the light still works!

Hey Guys, just opened my Mark 1 and he is AWESOME!!!
However, I opened the bottom of the cylinder to access the batteries - pulled out the plastic tab to activate the lights and now I can't get the bottom all the way back into the cylinder. So now there is 4mm of the bottom hanging out of the cylinder :(

Anyone else have this trouble? I've tried hard to get it back in but it won't budge. Any suggestions would be appreciated my fellow freaks.

Ahhhh... you know what happened - the very last battery had come loose and was preventing me from closing it all the way.

I can breathe a sigh of relief. This high end collectible - putting fragile stuff together late at night business can be enough to cause a heart attack :(

I am totally blown away by this figure. It is so great. I have Mark 3, and was happy to leave it at that. Mark 1 just kept calling me, so I took the plunge and am so happy I did. What a wonderful piece of art. Hot Toys are truly amazing :)
