For you guys that got your recently, did anyone get it from SS? I swear I am done ordering through them and just doing business with Toys2 from now on. Why does it take SS two weeks longer than Toys2 every time a new HT fig hits the market?

I get mine from Toys2 because I'm from Toronto!...Chinatown(Markham) area business....go figure...

Simple really. Toys2 is the official North American Distributor the odds are that they go through them as a middleman before getting to SS. If not, since Toys2 is the official NA Distributor they would naturally get them before anyone else here. Most of the ADs, like Alter Ego or Razors for example get them from SS so they go through possibly three people (HT, Toys2 then SSC) but at least before getting them.

let's see: poorly-detailed and inaccurate chest RT, lame pose, ridiculously overpriced... yup. totally agree. the maquette definitely pales in comparison to the ht version.

but seriously, to each his own i say. i am not very impressed with the maquette and u obviously think its superior to the ht. though the truth is, this is an unfair comparison. different scale, different category.

To be fair the face on Hot Toys isn't any good either. Has anyone put some paint to it, to see if it can be salvaged? I've been kicking around the idea since I got him. The up side is if I screw it up, wont matter much because I never raise the mask anyway.

agree with you Maquette cannot be compared. HT can do numerous pose. That itself to me HT is better...my opinion only...

I'm still in awe everytime I take a glimpse of it!

Btw, anyone know how to turn one the lights on both the chest and hand? Along with the missile on his left arm?

yeah it is one heck of a great figure.

to turn on the chest RT & arm missile lights, press the round button on his back. it's next to the gas cylinder which houses the batteries. you're welcome.
