Congrats spanky! All the Iron Man figures are really awesome (Just got the BD Mark III and the Mach-Test Tony), but the Mark I is still may favorite. The kit-bashed look with all the wires. Really cool design and perfectly executed by HT!

just got one at a decent price. this bad boy is awesome!

Decent prize, how much is it exactly? I got mine for 272USD a month ago. That's the cheapest price in my area.

got it for 7000php(153usd). it's packaged with other hot toys stuff that's why i got it for a bargain.

I've been away from the forum for a few months and the prices have jumped that high? I picked up a Mark I from Hastings toward the end of 2009 for around $130ish if memory serves me.

Why all the sudden increase in upwards of $300?? Is the supply dried up and demand still high?

good lord. I haven't even displayed mine yet since I'm living with the inlaws.

it's the best iron man figure hot toys has produced that's why it sells for 300 dollars right now

I did not believe I would ever get the chance to own the mark 1. But as luck would have it I was the only bidder for this one and got it for 249.50 Truly awesome. This is the type of figure to have displayed on a rotating base to show off the details and stuff it has.

Now aside from the Mark 4 I should have all the suits I want to have.

If I can only have the drive to do a hall of armor setup...

Personally, I think the hall of armor look is kinda boring. I dont like the idea of the figures just standing there when an action pose just seems so much more impressive.

Hey, that's a valid point. I know that one of the reasons I buy HT is because of it's poseability.

xkage - you referring to the Mech test version? I bought the body on e-bay without the head. I took a mold off the BD head and modified the sculpt. The facial features are done but I've put the sculpt on hold 'cause I just bought some silicone material and hair punching needles for some experiments. :wink1:

cool thanks for the info
im having a hard time finding a head for my tony for a reasonable price on ebay they all seem to go for over $60
which in my opinion is too much.

xkage - I agree, ridiculous in my opinion. Honestly, the only difference from the BD head is the furrowed brow, gaunter cheek bones and raised flaps on the side of the nose. No biggie. I've put a one month time frame for me to get the head and another casted in silicone. Then my hair punching experiments will commence. :D

Calcifer - I have a bunch of good HT figures but for some reason every morning when I wake up my eyes just get drawn to this figure. Maybe it's the scarcity or the price I paid for it or maybe it's one of the newer pieces I acquired but I just think I am still not over the detail that is in this figure. I keep trying to figure out where the button is to make the flames fire up.:lol

you will have to let me know how that goes with the head
i wish i could do that too, would be awesome.

anyone having trouble getting his right forearm (flamethrower) to pose like in that pic? was lookin at my friend's MK1 and we can't seem to get the yellow tank on top of the arm like that. the forearm won't rotate. the armor isn't caught on anything i can tell

I haven't read through the whole thread, but has anyone removed all the armor from this figure? What is the Tony figure outfit like?

it has holes in it from where the pegs on the armor attach into the body.
i have not taken off the armor but if you look under some of the armor you can see this.
it would not work to just pull of all the armor and there be a tony stark under there haha
the light is not even attached to his chest. (this was one of the reasons i don't understand the hype over this one)
