Re: Possible Hint - Hot Toys John Connor Version 2

Could be, the first one had to meet McG and Bale's approval, so might be easier for them just to sculpt in the scar on that one.

Plus it saves hot toys loads of money! But by the way the teaser photos look, Im sold!

Sean would it be okay if I posted the "forbidden pics" now?

No, we don't know how much the final figure is or isn't like that. I think we need to take the Dutch route, only official photos they post can be shown. They commented on old Dutch pictures being posted even after the new ones were up.

Full shots and official photos should be soon, I imagine John and Iron Man BD are going to be in the same newsletter update.

Well, I don't know how much money it'd save, not sure how their sculptors are paid, and the scar should be sculpted, so it's still a new mold even if the base portrait is the same.

True. Im just saying they have the basic portrait done already, which seems to be the same as the 1st connor figure.

And DX joker news? Or am i just getting greedy now? :p
Seriously, can't wait to see this new JC version though, i'm just wondering how much it could alter from the 1st. Doesnt seem to be enough to justify another outlay of 150ish imvho. I'll definately pick one up though, as in, one of the two

fair enough. :borg

Completely different costume, Hydrobot, scarred portrait, likely an alternate gun or two, possible environment base instead of generic, should be a whole alternate package unlike the first on.

I cant wait to see the official pictures! Like I said before, this is going to be the holy grail of my terminator collection!

I've had multiples of figures before, and it always bugs me to see the same character displayed in the same visual place, regardless of appearance. As a completist I do like to have all the representations covered, but I've learned that it is best to pick one, and be happy with it. Otherwise it ruins the Display Feng-Shui. For me, this is the John I want, plus cool base and accessories. Glad I cancelled the first one. I knew this was going to happen, I just didn't expect it to have a Hydrobot too.

I don't remember this scene in the movie, but I remember an early trailer where a 600 comes up out of the water behind him in a shot like this. What happened to that?

Is that the hydrobot too?

Hells yeah! Sold. Scarred face, plus Hydrobot, plus smashed 600. Awesome. Here's hoping for Moto-goodness soon.

I guess it's another case of figures exceeding the quality of the movies there based on.

That's what the AVP stuff was all about. I finally got over having a load of Preds all in the same gear, but with different masks, so I've been selling them off, only keeping my original Scar custom, and my custom Asian Ancient as companion pieces to my Amazon Machiko. Instead of crappy movie good figures, I have good figures of the Dark Horse AVP universe story.

Cut scene. It's part of the resistance entering into the facility at the early part of the movie, the final cut suggests the machines have left the facility, leaving that footage in would kill the surprise.

.

the t-1 scene get deleted

Terminator Salvation deleted scene - T-1 surprise attack

In the opening of the movie, John Connor and some men descend into a hole that turns out to be a prison where a lot of humans have been captured. But before being able to get to the door of that prison, a T-1 Unit pops up behind them and tries to stop them. However, the unit is quickly put down by the human's gunfire.

The scene was in the trailers, in the novel, in the comic, but not in the movie.

Hopfully it will turn up in the Director's cut annouced here https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=3389

I'm getting tired of being manipulated to buy the new tech just to see extended stuff. Hopefully, this director's cut will also be on DVD. I'm not that hard up for ultimate sound and picture. It doesn't make the story any better.

Pretty sure it will be.

Yeah, it was a T-1, wasn't it. So, now T-1s are amphibious, huh? Sure, McG, whatever you say.

Well, I don't think you can give him too much grief, we only saw the T-1 for a brief time in T3 and nothing to indicate it couldn't function in water.
