holy crap! vader looks like... vader!!

the dome does look a bit short but i think it's a lot to do with the angle, as maulfan's explanation (and these pics) prove. beyond that tiny issue, he is pretty much perfect to me... tho working lights would've been nice.

boy oh boy i'm so glad i preordered him. and to think i was less than enthusiastic abt a sideshow 1/6th figure. correct me if i'm wrong guys, but looks like this is their best work ever!

I'll agree the head does look a bit small at certain angles - but my care factor is less than zero. Really glad my WL order converted. Thanks for sharing.

Has anyone compared SS Vader figure w/the Sideshow Collectables 1/4 Scale Darth Vader Statue. Yeah the helmet is small but I was just curious. I still LOVE Maulfan's pics and I am looking forward to this SW gem.

Well I'm late to the party....

THANKS Maulfan for posting the review and all the great pictures of your super-OOAK Vader!

Overall, I think he looks terrific. And I imagine, as always, in hand and at scale it looks even better.

My only gripe is the same as everyone else's -- the dome looks a bit small and doesn't taper far enough down in back. It looks more like the ESB dome than the ANH dome. If this was a loose helmet, you could adjust it, but since it's fixed we're all kind of stuck. I'm sure many are getting their dremels ready.

But again, overall, amazing Vader! Can't wait for mine.

Not saying this in a snarky way... but I am happy I'm not aware of some of these helmet issues. I know a bit (mostly from this board) but when I see these images (except for a few were the angle made his head look small) I'm not seeing any issues.
