Speedy do you have any side-by-side shots of Vader and a Stormie? Uh, on second thoughts, maybe don't post any. I've come to terms with SS Vader's height and don't need to see how much better it could be for losing a half inch :lol

Sure do bud, here's this is as close as I can get to "about right" in the size deptarment, mind you I had to use the torso conversion mod plus I had to use the xbox tippy toe mod aswell :wink1: its a secret dont tell anyone :)

I didn't think the controversy over Vader's height would be revived a year since his release. However, for those interested, here's the police line-up shot I took back when I first did the torso conversion to Vader, who is standing next to my lengthened Medicom Boba Fett & an unmodified Emperor & trooper for comparison:

And another without Palps:

I'm finally getting a sideshow Vader and have been studying the mods on here as well as other threads. Can't wait to get it.

Stilted Boba Fett :lol

I lowered Vaders helmet and called it a day. Love his height. He is a imposing figure on the shelf.

@ Speedy and PJB - thanks for posting the pics. Thankfully I remain happy with Vader's stock height, especially for the trouble involved. Plus I already have lforigno's cape at the stock Vader height. If I grow some balls I might yank the helmet off and dremel it out - shorten Vader a tad and make the helmet sit better seems like a good solution.

I just wish another Vader would be released to get my hands on that icon without getting broke. Um, I mean more broke if such a thing exists.

I prefer Vader with the height mod, but even w/o it he's still pretty badass. The new cape though really makes a huge difference. It just hangs so well off him, looks like he just walked off the screen.

Sideshow tailoring is very nice, but the material and lining is just too thick to work well w/o a wire.

vader is impressive ............most impressive.

singularly he is my favorite figure & is quite the presence over all others.

He's one of a very few figures that I don't use a stand for.... Hell, I've never taken his stand out of the box.... I know that's not unusual for most but I do live in the SF Bay Area, so earthquakes are always a worry. :(

My Vader finally arrived today and all I can say is WOW! I did the helmet mod and I'm in the process of modding the height. This is truly an awesome figure to behold. I still think the dome needs a bit more flare on both sides. But other than that he is perfect IMHO.
