A fellow board member here named Katkuru sells cathode lightsabers that plug into a wall. You don't want the battery powered ones on eBay, they are dim. The cathode sabers are bright. And they last long. On weekends, I sometimes leave them on all day/night. I've had mine for awhile now and they are very bright. He sells them also at a very modest price, fully assembled for board members.

I would say that's the way to go.

For me though, I just hate to have to hide the wire and deal with transformer box and find proximity to a plug. It's cool if you're gonna leave it stand somewhere that can hide all that but my figs are just on glass in the open so its problematic.

I hate having to hide wires also. The saber he comes with is perfectly good, so I don't have to worry about wires in the way of cool poses.

If anyone's still looking for one of these, mine's up for grabs. One of the straps on his abdomen doohickey broke off, but is still attached to the figure and can be fixed with some glue.

Asking $150, and you can find my thread in the For Sale section.

Much better price than I've been seeing as of late. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding him a home.

I just got my exclusive one a few weeks ago from a board member for $250.00 shipped from Denmark. If I had the cash I'd buy it to do a different version. That's a great price! If someone doesn't snatch that up I'd be shocked.

Here is mine with the hasbro dome and height mod. I was able to knock about an inch off him taking out the smaller midsection piece and shortening the thighs. Now he's about 13 1/2 inches.

Still have a bit more work to do but he's good for the most part.

Thanks. I think he turned out well. Just need to get a chain and shorten the arms a bit. Luke does look upset. It's the "I can feel your anger" look I was going for.

Well, that is the Medicom Luke, who is very short. Most short guys I know tend to be a bit pissy...PS

I would be too if I asked my father to come back w/me, and his reply was I am the Emperor's b*&^% & you will be too.

:rotfl

Ha ha ha! That is awesome! I love it. As far as paint. I didn't do anything to the dome. It was a loose figure and I just glued it on the sideshow head. That's it. I got lucky I guess. The dome was kinda dingy so it sorta matched.

I had to dremel a bit of the stabilizers out of the inside. There are 4 pieces that make the dome stable to the hasbro head. I just dremeled them out completely so I'd have a smooth surface to work with on the inside to get a better idea of where I wanted to have it sit. I glued mine on with contact cement but if I had to do it over again I would have used earth magnets. Really powerful ones you can find at walmart in the craft or sewing section.
