No joke. It was an honest question. Your use of the ":monkey3" was suggestive. No need to be so defensive.

You saw this ":monkey3" and thought I'm recasting SS Vader gloves? :dunno

Why not just ask me what I mean't instead? I see I need to be more clear with people like you.

I'm helping some members assemble their Vaders by futzing them right. Do you need me to be more clear? :wave

Recaster! Rib-cutter!

:lol:lol:rotfl

Geez. Some people.

Yes. Your penchant for supporting counterfeiters and your use of an emoticon usually used to imply that you are doing something sly were the culprits to my confusion. How do the people you are helping know that you aren't going to use their parts to counterfeit pieces of Vader's costume (like the exclusive hand for instance)?

Let's play nice boys... this is the Star Wars section after all; not the wasteland that is the customs section :lecture

Well you should learn to interpret what my WORDS are saying. :cuckoo: I've supported one case of supposed "counterfeiting", which BTW have now have been deemed OK by the admins, and now you think I'm a recaster? Please, go bother someone else. Your obsession with me is becoming extremely obvious.

I asked two perfectly civil questions. Not sure why you are copping this hurt/wounded attitude. :dunno

And with that let's end this discussion :duff

Back to ANH Vader... thanks to Pix I got a set of the Lforigno robes in yesterday and was able to get a KP02 from TA as they had a few in stock.

I'll take pictures today, but I'm quite happy with the mods. I won't say it's 100% better than what I had before, but I do think the bulk of the body and size is a bit more on-point.

Back on topic: I would like to reiterate my undying love for this figure and how strange it is that THE LOVE grew bigger as my Vader became smaller. :love

Can't wait to see if you could make heads or tails out of that outfit. I just couldn't get it to work no matter what I did. :lol

I think it turned out pretty good... I may end up stitching the shoulders as well; but when I finished yesterday I was pretty happy.

I will say the neck opening on the cape was super tiny though, either it was a virgin or got the B-hole by mistake :huh

Awesome to hear! So I take it you're not going with the Hasbro dome since you sold it to Cking? :lol
Even without the hasbro dome. The SS dome can be readjusted to look amazing. Wor-gar's is a perfect example of that. You cutting the gloves? :naughty

The material is high quality for sure. It just ripples to the touch like water. If anyone can make it work, I am sure you can. :duff

Yeah, I didn't care of the Hasbro dome... also I didn't feel like adding the peak etc. to get it right so I was happy to pass it on.

I may look at shortening the gloves; but will probably wait since you're doing it first :lol

I hope so... maybe I'm wrong and it will look so terrible I'll have to leave the boards due to the shame :lol

The peak is the only issue I have with it as well. I wish I had the skills to sculpt it on. :monkey2

Uploading pics of my only and original gloves for a closer look now. Plus per request by cking, uploading pics of my Vader with his cathode saber. :)

Took reference from this photo. You'll just have to imagine the extra ribs. I cut away 2. I think that SS sculpted the ribs to big, making the gloves have less. :(
Anyway, judge for yourself. I felt they were too long. So I shorten em. :wave

Did you push the glove all the way on? The length of the glove looks good, but that forearm looks huge :lol

I wonder if it would be difficult to replicate the extra bit of stitching on the last rib and underside of the glove; maybe poking in the pattern with a needle would work :huh

Cking gave me some suggestions. I made more of a gap between the shoulder armor, chest box and belt. He was definitely right and looks a lot better. Thanks Chris!

You're right it does. :gah: The first one doesn't though. Looking at the screen cap, the forearm does look kinda long as well. Now I gotta take another pic. :slap

Interesting idea about adding the ribs. I can give it a shot. :dunno
