Ugh, it only needs $98 more million to beat Titanic! I swear if they just ran an ad saying that, many people would go again to see Titanic knocked off its perch. So, so close, yet so, so far. :(

Do the dollar theaters count towards the domestic box office total? Because I predict a lot of people going again multiple times there. If it could just get to $575 million before that, it could maybe take in another $25 million from there.

I just want this to beat Titanic so bad! If only purchasing the Hot Toys figures added to the domestic box office :lol

I'm pretty sure domestic box office record counts every dollar earned domestically in it's original theatrical release. If they rereleased it in theaters after it's done it's first run, I don't think that counts because not every film has multiple releases.

Not entirely true! Star Wars was re-released in 1997 and they counted that box office in with its original 1977 box office, which was what catapulted it to #2 behind Titanic.

Similarly, E.T. was re-released in 2002 as a special edition and they counted that as well!

If they left this in theaters as long as Titanic it would beat it's numbers. Unfortunately they don't leave movies in that long anymore. This would have to be in theaters for another 17 weeks to equal Titanic's theatrical run. With the DVD already slated for December 9th I doubt they'll keep it in theaters another 10 weeks let alone 17 more. It would only have to average a little over $5 million each week to accomplish that. Easy numbers if you ask me. Maybe someone at Warner has the pride to leave it in that long just for the hell of it.

Beat me to it but yeah, they were saying on TV that if they rerelease it sometime later this year for some kind of special release they could beat titanic. I think The Dark Knight will end up around 560 Million

That looks cool but I hate "Gotham Knights". Reminds me of that animated dvd that came out

Aaron Eckhart confirms Two-Face is not coming back if Chris Nolan directs the next Batman.

SWEET!!!! As I said in another thread, Two Face had enough time in the story.

Sucks to hear this said again:

"Heath [Ledger] was supposed to go on and that didn't work out."

Everytime I hear that its just like, DAMN Heath would have been back for another fantastic and captivating performance....but he won't be.

More interesting than Eckhart confirming that Two-Face will not return is the fact that Goyer stated openly that Two-Face was supposed to be the main villain for the third installment, that means that Nolan is seriously rewriting the entire original arc that Goyer submitted and got approved. It should be interesting to see what they have up their sleeves for part three.

With Begins, I imagine Nolan stuck to things with the thought it might just be one film, but I wonder if with TDK, he took a third into consideration making storyline ideas. The Nolan Batman team knows what it's doing, whatever choices they make will best suit the film series they're making, they haven't failed yet.
