We're not as good at playing the underhanded politics with the IOC, which is absolutely one of the most corrupt organizations on Earth.

(We should, though, our politicians are as bad as anywhere :lol )

Man, I could tell you some IOC stories from the 96 games, which were here in Atlanta. Seriously, they're like a supervillain group.

Well it's only been 4 games since it was in the USA last :lol

It's a big world out there you know ;)

But yes the IOC is completely corrupt of that there's no doubt

I would too...if they'd give the olympics to an american city again :impatient:

Why wait?? I'm planning on going to Brazil for the next Olympics. I have some Brazilian friends that have family down there that are already planning on going, and I've been invited to stay with them.

Me too.

Spice Girls :yess: :rock

;)

They sounded bad :monkey1 Jesse J sounded great :wink1: and did she looked great.... :drool

I'm really surprise they didn't have Sarah Brightman singing at the closing ceremony. :( She is after all a Brit too. One of my favorite singers of all time.

Did you guys see Brazilian Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio (silver dress) in the Rio bit? She is so beautiful :love :love Need a statue of her

It's official, in the last 3 Olympics, Vancouver has the worst opening & closing ceremony. We were very frugal compared to London & especially Beijing. Congrats to all the nation that participated in the London games. There were some memorable sporting events. Love the Jamaican race team, the GBR track athletes, Canada's Women Soccer Team, and surprisingly the Rhythmic Gymnastic women's athletes.....they were very entertaining to watch :lol

It's very fitting the last song goes to The Who.

Not that strange, Vancouver had winter games.. they are on a much smaller scale and ususally much more forgettable in my opinion. Can't compare that to London or Beijing.
