Is it just me or King Guesra looks like repurposed Godzilla2000 suit? :lol

I could definitely see that. Especially in the neck.

Of course it wouldn't be the first time :lol

Oh ok then being agile would make sense because at least it's still a highly trained human being.

Those mechs in PR need to be slow.

Yarp. Should be clunky clunky tankers. The Jaegers can't be upgraded that much. How long has it been since the first movie? A year? When they upgraded the Iphone 6 to a 7 it's not like the 7 started doing backflips and roundhouse kicks...all they did was give it something called "super retina display" ooooooooooo!!!

then again....robots can do backflips now...so wtf do I know :lol

Giant mechs won't be able to do that because they weight 6000 tons.
It's simply impossible due to how gravity works.

Wow we are soooo ****ed lol

Musk is right Terminator is right around the corner.

That video is scarier than IT.

Unless they're equipped with anti-gravity bracers :panic:

It seriously is...they're in better shape than I am...I can't do a backflip. I'm toast :lol

The freakiest part is watching it balance itself on the wobbly platform after the jump...fugggin YIKES!

I avoid trailers mostly except for the first ones and the ones they show at the movies. Saw the trailer before Thor today and I'll still be seeing this! Looks like a good time.

Yeah the scale and weight is gone :monkey2

Instead of Mech anime, it looks like they're using Ultraman battles as an inspiration for a lot of the action. The way it's shot...to the daylight and Jaeger movements... It's straight out of Ultraman. That's fine I guess, but it's a departure from the gritty, weighty and "lived in" ideals of the first film...which is a shame.

They are copying this actually

Yep- if you know your science giant 200+ foot tall robots even walking are near impossible- the staggering weight plus the effects of gravity would basically implode them

Once i got passed the aesthetic departure from the first film, I decided it looks ok. As long as they make the fights interesting and not just one big thing knocking another big thing so they go flying into a building over and over...it could be kewl.

And again, I like the emphasis on daylight battles.

Looks like we got a glimpse of the Kaiju/Jaeger hybrids...Which I'm not totally into yet. I'd rather just have more big monsters.

Transformers 6 so soon.

At least I can tell who's hitting who in this film :lol

I liked the first one, but I just don't see this being a hit. Maybe it's just my disinterest in it.

I don't see it making big either. It'll probably do about the same as the first one...but the merchandise will help. They seem to be "Moichendizin'" this one a lot more.
