Massive sale on Darksiders, right now. The first Darksiders is $1.99, Darksiders II is $2.99. Gary's Mod is on sale for $2.49. I'll have to pick them up later in the day.

I'm assuming it's this game?

The Forest on Steam

Does look like fun. Like with suspense driven game play similar to alien isolation.

It gets pretty heinous at night time, especially since your only light source is the moon... if it's even out. Even during the day time chopping down trees, you can get attacked by a group of them. Right now I'm trying to build an elevated cabin on a hill that stretches out from the mainland. It takes a lot of trees to even build one thing. Interesting part is, the trees stay gone.

I plan on building walls too. There's quite a few traps you can make as well.

^That's what's preventing me from pulling the trigger on even Day-Z - they're still being developed. The Forest looks great, but I'll wait until the developers finally give a full release.

On another note, I came home to see this was delivered. Noctua's attention to detail in just their packaging alone, is amazing. I can see why Linus likes them so much. Even the generic note from the CEO was a nice touch.

yep those fans (and their others) are fantastic. I have 5 in my pc and one in my NAS home server. And the extra stuff they put in with the fans is nice and top notch.

I have four 3,000 rpm 140mm fans blowing through radiators (of course i don't let them get up to 3,000 rpm).

Sounds like you've got some excellent cooling :lol.

I'm thinking of buying several more to replace the 140mm Aerocool Shark fans that I've been using. I always hated the fact that they're not PWM and I have them running on full blast all the time.

Heck yeah, gotta be pwm or a way to be controlled. Yes you should deck it all out with them! I liked the corsair ones too but like these better both in sound, lack of vibration and quality...and like you said the packaging and extras.

For the fans that could be seen i went with their black on dark brown ones and got the one you have for the one fan that isn't seen.

If it's any consolation, it's much more polished than DayZ and there's an actual to do list of objectives.

The brown fans are currently on sale on Amazon, so I'll have to pick those up instead of the black ones :rotfl.

Mentioning Corsair, what type of cooler are you using? I've been thinking of getting a H100i.

Let me know how it goes. By the time I clear my backlog, Day-Z and The Forest should be released..

I have the H100i (version 1) in one of my rigs and the h100 gt (or maybe gtx) in another....the gt(x) has two 140mm fans instead of two 120 mm ones. There's an H115i out now but haven't read up on it.

I haven't had any issues out of either of them and like them both.

Hmm, is there any difference between the Ver. 1 and the gt(x)?

I just bought a H100i Ver. 2 along with two more Nocturas :lol. My H55 has been severely under-performing under full load, lately.

I checked the H115i, seems like it's a 280mm radiator. Way too big for my Define R4.

On another note, after installing the Noctua fan and replacing my old 140mm fan, the noise from my PC case dropped by nearly 15 decibels :rotfl. My gosh, this thing is silent as a whisper.

I had an H80i (smaller rear mounted model) on my last build and was fairly happy with it, didn't do too well with a slight oc - so went back to stock clocks. When the mobo started dying I replaced almost everything because I couldn't track down a new mother board with the same socket as the I7 2600K, found out the thermal paste wasn't making contact with about a quarter of the CPU - so my fault. I'm running a Noctua NH-D14 on my new setup and it's big & super ugly, but it performs like a champ, very impressed.

A friend had an H100i (H100?) and the pump died after about 18 months.

Man, I would go into air-cooling, but they're too large. I need a lot of space above my mobo to circulate the air from my dual GTX 780s in SLI. Those cards run VERY hot.

But, 18 months isn't a long time at all for the H100i. Any idea how it managed overclocking compared to the H80i?

For my next build, I'll seriously look into some custom water cooling.

Not sure, he didn't have a clockable CPU. Should be good though, they just make more fan noise the harder they have to work.

His failure was pretty rare, I couldn't find anything online about pump failures when his died.

I'd like to try water cooling too, but after all the diy plumbing stuff I've done at home I know I'd just get leaks!

Yeah, leaks are definitely something to think about. I've been looking into some water block kits from Frozencpu for the longest time, but I'll have to hold it off for my next build. I'd eventually like to go crazy and try my hands at watercooling a reference GPU one of these days :lol.
