Yeah, what a **** show.

I'll just wait for the $599 version. **** it.

I'll be playing Deus EX on my Mac on the meantime.

Amazon is now taking "order now and we'll ship when available" orders for those interested. It wasn't even an option before.

I guess what the hell, why not.

Yeah, lol. And the worst part?

People are actually BIDDING on them. Aliens should destroy the planet Earth.

Same thing that always happens with new cards. Best to sit back and wait to avoid the frustration.

Really? It is my first year. Does this happen yearly?

Is it as frustrating as getting, say, a new iPhone on release date? (regardless on how you think the iPhone sucks or not, it is hard to secure one on release date, specially the non "S" versions)

Yep happens when the cards are initially released every year and most times twice when (and if) they release the ti version of the cards.

Gets better once the other makers come out with their versions of the cards with their own air/liquid coolers though.

So, based on previous releases, a ti version is also in the works?

Jesus. This is worst than HT and their Black Widows!

I think this one is probably the biggest jump in performance I've seen so interest is higher than in the past--they aren't really equipped to handle this much so that's why the release hasn't gone great.
There's been some in stock on and off during the day. Eventually it'll even out

And definitely there will be a Ti version, maybe a Titan version too.

Sorry to disrupt, but I could use some help. See, last summer I wanted to built a gaming rig. But, since I knew nothing about building PCs, I had our technician built one for me. I gave him a budget, a general idea of what I wanted, and left him to work. Thing is, since I don't know a whole lot about that stuff yet (finals year), I'm not sure he was totaly "honest". Because, I can't even play Witcher 2 at maximum quality, let alone Witcher 3... Here are the specs:

-Processor: Intel Core i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30 GHz 3.30 GHz
-RAM: 8 GB
-OS: Windows 8 x64 bit
-Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R7 200 Series

That's the main gist of it. I paid around 1.000$ for this one. I wasn't looking for a "Top Rig" that can play everything at maximum settings, I was just looking for a relatively good stepping stone. But I've noticed that it's way "weaker" than what other folks on the net have for the same cash, so I'm wondering if he scammed me. The prices here are just like in the US, just in euros, there's no difference, 80 $ = 80 euros. I mean, if I need an all new graphics card so soon, and one that goes for 400$, and I need someone to install it, then what's the point?

Anyway, I'd really appreciate some help!

^ That graphics card is a joke, so it does sound that you paid too much. What kind of motherboard did he install? Power source? Was it a fancy case? There's more components you are not mentioning, so hard to say.

Building a PC, or installing components isn't hard really, all you have to do is watch tutorials on YouTube and all over the net. That's what I did and I'm now more familiar with the process. Installing a new graphics card is like installing RAM. It is that easy.

I'm waiting on Amazon or anyone really to ghettoes damn GTX 1080 in stock. EVGA sent me an email saying they have them and once you check out you get an error message. Poor website can't handle ****.

I'll just wait on Amazon, which sucks because I'm graphic card less at the moment.

Been playing some PS4 for the time being. And let me tell you, what a DOWNGRADE it is IMO.

Figured as much when I couldn't even run Fallout 4 at max. As for the rest, going off Speccy, here they are:

-Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

-CPU: Intel Core i5 4590 @ 3.30GHz 39 °C
Haswell 22nm Technology

-RAM: 8,00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz (11-11-11-28)

-Motherboard: ASRock H81M-G (CPUSocket) 36 °C

-Graphics: LG FULL HD (1920x1080@60Hz)
2048MB ATI AMD Radeon R7 200 Series (MSI) 32 °C

-Storage: 931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1ER162 (SATA) 35 °C

-Optical Drives: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH24NSC0

-Audio: Realtek High Definition Audio

That sounds about on target for a Grand, hard to tell if you got good value for your money if you didn't get a component price break down at the time. Did that include a Monitor/mouse/keyboard? 1k disappears pretty quickly when you are getting a whole PC including all the peripherals.

A good performance boost would be getting an SSD for your boot drive & upgrading that GPU.

It included a keyboard and the monitor. Mouse, speakers, and such were extra. Is it good for a grand though? I see people on the net saying how they spent just 800$ and can run stuff like Witcher 3 at high settings. I found that a bit hard to believe though, so I figured it was better to come here and ask. It's just that if I need to shell out 400$ on a GC and have to replace it in a year, I don't see how PC gaming is "much cheaper".

Never played the game so I can't comment on that part, but $800 for a whole computer capable of high settings seems unlikely. Man, you can blow that much on a high end GPU & a PSU to power it out of the gate.
