Gaming on Apple computers is better than it used to be. With Steam on it now I see it gaining ground. I can dual boot Windows if I have to play something, but to be honest I don't care most of the time.

:lol Well then, you're set! :hi5:

I haven't cared about PC gaming in well over a decade. It's too expensive and too much of a hassle to keep up with. I'd rather just buy a console and be done with it.

And no, PC Weenies, that was not an invitation for you to post pics of your "wicked rad" box you "built yourself" for "really cheap".

I "like" to "use" "quotes".

I have a wicked rad rig that was ____ing expensive. But that is because I am PC l33t!

Yep. I'm good with my PS3. :)

Only issue about consoles though is that they're holding back the industry--PC's were better than the consoles even at the time the consoles first came out--it's much worse now. For gaming it's worth having a good computer to play games like they should be, not to mention being able to use a mouse and keyboard.

It's good Mac is starting to get good games through Steam, but even compared to Windows PC's with the same hardware, they don't run as well.

As far as Apple products and gaming is concerned, I'm looking more toward the iPhone and iPad

I've made my decision. After the Christmas holidays are over I'll get an Apple iMac and Macbook Pro and I'll give my Dell XPS to my youngest. She's been sharing a computer with her older brother and needs her own.

Damn. That's a lot of $$ for a first time switcher. Not to try and turn you away, but why don't you try the MBP for a bit first before completely shedding the Windows?

a wise choice.

What's a good site for shells/cases?

For what? Your computer? Please don't do that.... :monkey2

I've used the same Brenthaven bag for about 10 years now. They're a bit on the expensive side, but make really good laptop bags.

I just wanna keep it scratch free, what are the bags you are talking about?

Every time somebody covers their Apple product (including iPhones) with a ridiculous gadget condom, God kills your favorite baby animal of choice. I beat the hell of my MBP, and it looks as good as the day I got it.

As for the bags, Brenthaven is a brand: https://www.brenthaven.com

I have one that was specifically made for the Titanium Powerbook and it is currently host to my 13" MBP. Really great quality, I highly recommend them.

In my area there is a place called Fry's Electronics that have practically everything. They're going to be having some deals on the iMac soon so I'll head down there in a few weeks. Now I just want to figure out which size to get. Those iMAC's look real clean to me plus they take up less clutter.

Fry's is good stuff, I wish STL had one.:(

Yeah man that's like my 2nd home. I'm always there getting some computer parts, gadgets, movies, software, TV's, electronics you name it. Sometimes I'll just go there on my lunch break just to browse around or shoot the s*** with the other computer geeks on the latest stuff. :lol

Yeah, Fry's is awesome, like a brick and mortar Newegg

We have a Micro Center in Saint Louis. That's about it.

Best Buy and ____ but those stores blow.

To me, everything about a Mac vs. PC argument can be summed up in this simple observation:

A normal, run-of-the-mill assembly line Mac will cost more than an above-average, powerful gaming computer.

Lately, the electronics industry has been more about form than function, which is why I'm a PC all the way.
