I agree. If a line's dead they should announce it.
Not only would a lot of people clamor to get what they missed, but they could probably rid themselves of any left over stock. It would be good for customers too because the value of what they have would increase.
I'm like you, Dengar, I won't get Will and Eliz until something better comes out of HT....or it's clear the line is finished.

Value may well decrease when completists decide to dump everything except maybe Jack. A shame if they don't continue. Their last fig Cannibal Jack was the best of the line so far.

I'm too big of a fan for me to dump the characters I have (Jack, Will, Elizabeth and Davy). I'm much more likely to commission a Norrington and maybe a Barbossa than get rid of my collection.

Cannibal Jack is one of HT's best human figures period, I think, but in the POTC line, I'd say he ties with Davy, Jones is just an awesome looking figure, so glad I own him.
I kinda wish HT would spread their 1/4 scale busts into POTC, I'd buy a Jack and Davy Jones bust all day long, Elizabeth too.

Sovereign would be the best bet, but a full on figure. Barbossa's got a very interesting wardrobe that I don't think you could ever kitbash, it'd take someone like Shawn to make it from scratch, and not even sure how many he could make if certain materials and in short supply for him.

I would rather see Ada Chan or even a commission from Andy B for Barbossa than Sovereign. All his sculpts look like the were born of the same father to me if that makes any sense.

Well there are plenty of sculptors out there, the biggest issue with Barbossa I see is the costuming, that'll be much harder.

Maybe with the winter duldroms on the big screen, HT will revisit the pirates. Would certainly help if another potc movie announcement could help fuel it...hopefully a decent one this time.

HT can't be stuck on TDK and Iron Man, other lines will pick up again, they're just cashing in while the iron's hot.

Can't blame 'em. They keep raising the bar and people will keep blowing the dough. I must've spent 4k in 4 months on HT stuff and that doesn't include Batman pre-orders.

I don't blame them at all, it's the first time I've really seen a company release product like this time with film releases so well, but I do know that's why few properties are getting their undivided attention, but as artists, they're going to want to work on new things eventually, they'll get sick of dedicating to just a few.
