Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

It does look very nice, and impressive what can be done with that sculpt too.

I still hope Jack gets the full DX treatment someday, a Sparrow with PERS would be as much a dream as Ledger Joker.

Once the 4th movie starts coming along I'm 90% sure we'll get a DX Sparrow.

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

I am fortunate to own the Hot Toys Davy Jones and Jack Sparrow V1.... Simply AWESOME!

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

If there was only a way of lightening up that "tan" on my Cannibal Jack without having to repaint the sculpt...

It's really my only gripe with the fig. Well... that and the height. But that's it. ;)

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

Man im so tempted to pick up Cannibal Jack but I just cant bring myself to do it.

Quick question for those with a medicom and hot toys jack sparrow. Im not too picky when it comes to figures so would a Medicom Jack Sparrow pass as a good figure to have or is the Hot Toys one a must have? Again im not really that picky but the hot toys one looks incredible

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

If you'd have Jack Sparrow alone, Medicom would be fine, though really, unless you'd be saving a lot of money getting Medicom, you're better of with Hot Toys.

I owned the Medi and it's not a bad figure but Cannibal Jack from Hot Toys is spooky good.

Well, you can find Medicom Jack at bargain prices..a ex-girlfriend bought me one just before i dumped her ass in early December last year and she got it brand new on Ebay for $80 shipped or something(i had HT version anyway and never took the gift lol), Hot Toys Jack is becoming harder and harder to find for a decent price..though BBTS had a great deal on cannibal Jack..i bought the last one from Toys2 awhile ago.

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

I call this "Jack Sparrow on-the-cheap". Its a combination of Zizzle and NECA parts, plus some generic Dragon pieces I had around - all in all, it only cost a little over $20. At the time I made it (early 2008), I had no intention of dropping money on the Hot Toys pieces, though I later found some good deals on them. I also picked up the Jack Hot Toys clothing to add to him at some point.

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

Anyone know how to re wrap the cloth sash on Jack? I took off his costume for a body swap to the narrow shoulder TT and can't figure it out now :lol

It goes all the way around his body once then ties on his left hand side. it dangles to at least his knee. it has at least two pieces of material dangling down. one straight down and a second which over hangs once u place his sword belt on

hard to explain but here are three pictures of mine...

hope that helps

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

Post some pics KBA. I'd like to see how Jack and Will look. I plan on putting both my Jacks and Will Turner on either the narrow or slim TT bodies.

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

I will :rock

Just need more daylight.

:rock

I'm looking forward to seeing pics. I've only got one Narrow TT on order and it is for Cop Joker, but if they look good enough I may order 2 more for Jack and Will.

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

Jacketless Jack will probably look nice on the narrow TT, but the coat is quite rigidly tailored to the standard and doesn't easily like to conform to smaller bodies. i tried it on the Prometheus body and the smaller body shape helped a lot but the coat puffed out on it's own even though there was no body filling it in and he still looked awkward.

Interesting, I may have to futz around with the coat a little bit and see how it works out when I get my narrow shoulder bodies (I take it the same would go for Will too).

Any chance of soaking the coat and shaping it in a way that makes it look less like 80's power shoulders?
