Ill just be happy with a more accurate Captain Jack Sparrow. I dont need anyone else from the film(s). If any others, Id like to get Davy Jones eventually, but his price has went up dramatically since his release.

Yeah, Jack and Davy would be the top two with Barbossa 3rd. Other than those I don't need anyone else.

If NECA would've made Gibbs back when I was collecting 7", I definitely would've picked him up!
A 1/6th Gibbs however... no. Same goes for Teague. Got the NECA version, don't need a HT one.
Blackbeard on the other hand... I might consider buying him. Just because Ian McShane is awesome!

As much as many of us want the original trilogy Barbossa gear, I'm sure there will be fans happier to have him in his new costume for some reason.
Even though the announcement is for Stranger Tides, there's always a chance for figures from the other films. Hot Toys tends to go back to the older films in a franchise when the newer ones have great success (Batman, Terminator), and even when they did the AWE figures, Cannibal Jack was officially released as a DMC figure, so possibilities are open. We may have to suffer Tides figures before getting our Barbossa, but hopefully, it will happen. There's a finitie ammount of figures to do from Tides anyway. Starting with Jack is smart because he's a sure seller and they can get people on board buying figures while they let the movie come out and gauge fandom for the others. I think it would be stupid to do any of the new characters until you know how they sit with fans. Blackbeard seems to have a good buzz right now, but there's always the chance he's a dud, and other than being eyecandy, I don't think Cruz' character is really going to make folks want to spend $150 on a figure, her costumes don't even look that interesting.

I have my ideal Will, I liked his AWE costume most, but my favorite Elizabeth looks are her Black Pearl clothes from Curse and the Pirate gear from DMC, hair down of course.

Well... after all no one can hurt you if you'll take only the head and do everything else from scratch.
I think this is absolutely not a problem while you have a good supply of HD screenshots and a bunch of crazy ssf-customizers

I'd really like a Barbossa but not to the extent to spend that money on a single figure, I'm not sure there's any character I'd spend that much on.

RIDDICK, Barbossa's suit from original trilogy seems to me near to impossible to customize. Very-very hard job. Hope that HT would make it instead us.

We all want to get classic Barbossa from the most memorable first part, that's the point.That's reasonable, but still I hardly can understand why HT started WATCHMEN series with Spectre II and Comediant, but leaving Owl and 100% hot selling item Rorschach over the board.

It's puzzling to me how great the sculpt work for the Cannibal head is, yet the regular and the smirking heads fall short.
