I just saw the trailer for On Stranger Tides in 3D this afternoon while going to see Tron: Legacy!
It looked absolutely awesome and really made me want to have a Jack Sparrow figure even more! He's just so damn awesome and instantly iconic!!

Plus much like the Joker, the pers system is perfect for a character like Jack who carries a multitude of expressions.

Yeah I would have to say that if there was one character out there that the pers was made for it would be Jack Sparrow. Cannot wait for this to come out.

Forget the prices, even if you could get it for retail, the new Jack(s) should be much better than the previous anyway, the old ones are nice, but flawed, and some of HT's improvements since those days will really shine on Jack and the new ones should be much better.

Based on the Dx Indy price, the new Jack may cost a pretty penny as well.

He'll come with a whole background thing too, plus some chest or part of a mast as a stand, along with the pieces of clothing to make the various Jacks.

The HT base price seems to be already minimum $175 for big franchise icons, but as this is a DX, it will somehow be justified with lots of bits to be $220-$250 like Indy.

Yeah, after seeing what Indy cost I have little hope of Jack being under $250. I think I'll just have to stick with my PF.

I had the chance to buy Hot Toys Jack Ver. 1 back in the day from SS for $100 (Comic-Con Special) and didn't do it. I've regretted it ever since. I have been waiting for this release for a long time. Time to get out the coffee can and start stashing some Hot Toys money in it for both Indy and Jack! My two favorite movie characters!!!

I wish HT would do Gibbs. He's been in all 4 movies, but I'd buy anything from this line. The Jakks line looks terrible.

Check post 4025, HT's Facebook page is quoted announcing Jack as the first figure and as a DX release.
